The food is really good when the employees actually care and don't throw together your food. Half the time they take orders and hold back food until they have a stock of orders done and then start calling names after about 15-20min waiting for something to be called. The employees work slow and do not take care to be fully stocked nor care about what can be seen behind the counter. I go to school at VCU and heavily rely on "fast food" using my meal plan and as much as the bagels are good, often time the sandwiches are rushed and messy and you can't make the coffee how you want because they have nothing stocked properly. I changed my review to 1 star because I've been waiting for an hour for my food and there isn't more than 15 people here. The employees are having casual conversation and standing around while all of us are waiting for service. Poor poor restaurant, need new management...
Read moreThe worst customer service. There was four people working and it really bothered the person at the register that I had walked up to the counter. When she finally looked up from her phone, she proceeded to just stare at me; no greeting or anything. I asked if I could have a simple chocolate chip bagel and Nutella. She huffed and took my money and turned around and then back on her phone. The one person that was making food was busy with hot food items from the people waiting long before me. 15 minutes later I received a lukewarm bagle with a container of Nutella smashed in between. She couldn't even take the time to spread the Nutella. I am furious. I was late to class for crap. This is unacceptable, these "employees " need to have a wakeup call. Read moreWent there between classes hoping for a quick meal. Spent about 25 minutes just waiting to get rung up because they were having cash register issues. The only problem was that there were two cash registers and they could have easily opened the second one, which they did about fifteen minutes later. They didn't warn anyone about the wait or apologize for it, and instead spent the whole time texting on their phones. I finally got up to the register and told her I didn't want my smoothie, which wasn't ready yet. She preceded to argue with me about the smoothie and I told her I didn't want it because i was already fifteen minutes late to class. She charged me seven dollars for the bagel and when I asked her if she charged me for the smoothie she lied and said no. Went to a different Einstein's and my bagel was only four dollars. Needless to say I'm never going back...
