Aladdin Express — Restaurant in Richmond

This place is top - notch! A little hole in the wall restaurant/hookah bar! Me and my hubby walk here all the time since we live right down the road and we are obsessed! He usually gets the chicken kabob and I get the Lamb gyro with fries.. and their fries OMG best I’ve ever had in my life! The lamb is so tender and flavorful, I crave it!!! Btw the customer service is genuine and wonderful. Last night, hubby and I walked there to get some food and they told us their computers went down and it was cash only. Realizing I had to go all the way home and they would be closed by time I got back. We told the owner - never mind and proceeded to leave. She told us, don’t worry about it, pay me when you see me next. We were shocked and said we will pay you tomorrow. Again, she shook her head and said no rush. I felt like a member of the family right then and there! They have my business for life! God bless the owner, her family, and business! What a wonderful way to show your customers you care and support them especially in trying times with COVId 19. I know businesses need their cash flow and money right now more than ever. There is no place in my memory that has ever served me the absolute best baked spaghetti and best service like this. Huge portion baked with melted yummy gooey cheese. I lived in RVA for 10+ years before I moved away. Back in that day we didn't have the ability to write these reviews so please forgive me for being delayed but this is that kind of resteraunt you still think about 20+ years later. I was a 21yo female triathete looking for a high carb dinner before the next Nissa Xterra. It was a tradition for me to frequent Alladin's right before each run. I was welcomed into this resteraunt as if I was part of the family who ran it. They always knew my name and even gave me the nickname "Darling". I was served the best baklava in addition to the wonderful meal provided and conversation from whom I believe was the owner at that time. Never inappropriate but always respectful and encouraging. I have often thought about traveling back with my children just so they can meet what a kind loving family experience this was. This place is amazing so I don't know where to start. Most go last night because it stays open till near 3am or 4am. Pizza is a atrractive item -with STEAK or LAMB! Yes I said LAMB. Or any other traditional pizza topings. 3.LAMB burgers or Gyros or platers curly fries are fantastic Garlic Nouts tasty filler food The star of the business the HOOKAS - are well mantained above the standard of what Must be done. The products used for the Hookahs are primum clean burning with great flavor especially the fan favorite double Apple. Or the mint. They also have house mixers to try if interested. Deserts are fantastic very nautral and tasty. Digital music machine plays what every song you love most for a small fee. Last cool thing; there is a display case with interesting produces. Everything cost- sodas, juices,water, even retired hookahs that have service thier time well maintained and on display and resonably priced. THE REAL DEAL HOOKAHS YOU WANT AND NEED.
