Sad to say I can never give my money or support to this business ever again. My friend has allowed me to share what they have learned from their experience working here.

Food safety although the donuts and corn dogs are safe, the chicken bites and Mac and cheese bites aren’t. They take the bags of out of the freezer in the morning and it sits on the counter the whole day melted in the hot kitchen. One of the employees that they were being trained by at the end of the day gave food that wasn’t picked up away but then the customer did show and they asked the people they gave it away to for it back then gave it to the customer. Number 1 rule of food service is to never ask for food back. The customer even side eyed them. Cleanliness their definition of clean isn’t clean. After cleaning up at the end of the day there are still crumbs under things and they don’t bother to get them. The press machine they had for a short time food item had so many crumps in it but when brining up cleaning it they said we don’t use it anymore don’t bother. There is flour also all over a section of the kitchen they don’t clean that just sits on the floor and counter. Employee treatment If u think about tipping don’t bother! Employees do not receive them, they get paid 15 an hour and only make that money. The tips reimburse the owner for paying them their hourly rate. They have to receive the 15 an hour regardless if u tip or not. Manager is never there and the people who train u have attitude and talk to you like you should know it already even though they are the first ones telling you because it’s not ridden down anywhere. So if you want to work here have a super fast memory. Employees do not get breaks they say u can rest whenever but that isn’t a choice because there are so many task to do and they don’t put enough workers on a shift to do them. This one isn’t that big but you don’t get uniforms. You wear your own clothes , if you want a oh mochi shirt to work in you have to buy one of the expensive ones they sell...

Customer’s service is horrible my wife and I waited for over 35 mins for our food while other customers got their orders before ours. We were order number 71 and they were on order number 82 by the time I approached the cashier to inquire about our food. As I approached the cashiers to ask about our food the cashier looked at me then turned her head and then proceeded to take pictures. The Owner Jay came out aggressively after 5 mins and proceeded to tell my wife and I that the cashier was in the back crying not worried about us still not having our food. After 10 mins of going back and forth with him about her crying in the back we still didn’t have our food and now it’s was 45 mins he finally gave us a refund even though we kept telling him all we wanted was out food. The doughnuts are good but the owner needs to do some in depth conflict resolution training and customers service training to prepare them for outside of the doughnut world. We never wanted anything for free just our food and have a good customer experience since the was my first time there. My wife and kids always eat here but after todays experience they will not be...

Was excited to try this place but I guess we picked a bad night. It was seemingly not busy, but about 20 minutes after putting our order in we got called up and told our order was refunded as they were completely out. As soon as new donuts were up they already spoken for by either online orders, more kiosk orders, or other people.

It was a bit a chaotic mess. Would have been helpful if they had a sign or something to indicate either they were out or behind because people kept coming in ordering more, only to be refunded. But it was confusing because it seemed like certain people who put up a fuss got their boxes filled…while others were out of luck…? There was no order. We were able to get 4 donuts but they were basically leftover cold ones.

I mean the poor staff were clearly overwhelmed but I think just being transparent when people come in instead of wasting more time refunding orders would have probably made things smoother. On top of it, our drinks took about 40 minutes to make. The boba straws were also out and it took more time to get their attention to get some.

Hopefully I’ll try it again...

Oh Mochi in downtown Richmond is a must-visit for me every time I’m in the area. My go-to order is always a cheese Korean corn dog with potato topping and a beef hot dog Korean corn dog with potato topping. I’ve also tried the sweet potato version, and each one is cooked to perfection—fluffy, hot, and packed with flavor. The mozzarella cheese pull is unreal, and the beef they use tastes fresh and premium every time—never anything less. The donuts here are just as incredible. Light, airy, chewy, and fresh, thanks to the mochi dough. I’ve bought the four-pack before and even two days later they still had that perfect texture and flavor. Customer service has always been superb—every visit has been pleasant and welcoming. The only thing to note is that it’s on the pricier side. I usually spend around $17 and change for my two favorite corn dogs, so bring your wallet. That said, the quality makes it worth every penny. 10/10—highly recommend this spot for anyone craving top-tier Korean corn dogs and mochi donuts.

I love the texture of the donuts—chewier and a little denser than your usual Krispy Kreme fare. The lavender lemonade was my favorite, as a lifetime lavender and citrus fan, but I was surprised by how much I liked the other two I purchased. The rice dog was also surprisingly delicious. The outside was crispy and light, eliminating my main problem with the average corndog. Even if you want a savory dog, I'd say to keep the sprinkle of sugar on top, especially if you plan on adding ketchup and/or mustard like I did. The tea is the reason this is a 4* review. The cup was smaller than I expected and much smaller than at other places that serve milk tea. The boba also costs extra to add, which I've never encountered getting milk tea before. On top of that, I thought the actual flavor of the tea was...just alright. Weak and mildly sweet. I appreciated the option to use lactose-free milk, but I just couldn't look over everything else.

This was my first time at this place, and I'm thankful to Yelp for the chance to try them out. I love our Elite events because they give me an indide look at places I would have never found on my own and menu items I might not have tried. Today, I was pleasantly surprised and happy to get a quick, close park and walked right up to the counter. Our Elite Perk included a mochi donut and a boba drink. Unfortunately, they didn't have any vegan, but I wanted to try them out anyway for my occasional non vegan splurge. They didn't disappoint. I chose the chocolate mochi donut. First of all, it was super cute, and moist and more importantly it was delicious. Then, for my boba drink, I stepped out of my box and tried a Ube. It was a pretty purple color but was some kind of vegetable, but it tasted exactly like vanilla... weird, right? I will definitely go back another day and recommend them to anyone who live boba and donuts.
