Read moreI saw some of the bad reviews and thought it might just be karens but no...I'm really bummed about the service I received here. I ate here to celebrate my graduation and it was not the best. If you haven't done Korean bbq then this isn't a good starter place. My boyfriend was very confused about the sides, how it works and the sauces so he asked the server...the server never answered so I had to guess (I just eat the food and know I like it) and explain how it works. The service button would be nice if it showed which table used it, we used it so many times and they ignored us but helped everyone else. They never switched out the grills after switching meat (typically done in Korean bbq place). It was also super awkward when we see at least other tables got aluminum foil being changed. They served undercooked pork and the grill was either too hot or too low. The grill was so low and taking forever to cook so I felt bamboozled since longer cook time means less time eating. Leaving plates of meat uncovered by the tables freaked me out (left alone for at least a few minutes). Getting the check took forever and we all starting laughing at how long it took. I'll go to Annandale or Centerville or Korean bbq. I was hoping to find an all you can eat place in the Richmond area...
Read moreWhile it was a decent experience and something out of the ordinary I would say that the food itself was just so so. The reviews regarding the less then friendly staff were spot on. We were there for dinner at 5pm and I was early. I wound up being the only customer and while not rude not the staff was definitely not friendly.
There were 4 adults and two children in our party and we ordered the "all you could eat" for $29/person. We were told to pick our first two meats. From then on we had a guy at our table who took care of us. Refilled what we wanted and was generally pretty nice. It was all you can eat but not really. We asked for more of the cheesey corn and were told that was NOT all you could eat but an upcharge...they didnt even give you enough for the tablr to try. Same with some egg dish that looked interesting. I say interesting because I didnt get to try it.
Besides the experience itself the only thing really noteworthy were the dipping sauces. I'm not a sauce person but the majority of the meat had no seasoning whatsoever. The ones that did were too sweet for my taste. And theres the catch. Even if you dont like it you have to eat it or they charge you more for not...
