Update:
I wanted to update my previous review. Initially, I was disappointed because they were out of stock on everything, but I decided to give it another shot a few days later. This time, I placed my order online in advance. It turned out to be an extremely busy Friday morning—Valentine’s Day, no less—and the restaurant had even lost power after my order was placed. Despite the chaos and challenges, the staff handled everything with incredible perseverance and a great attitude. They truly made the best of a tough situation, and I appreciate their hard work and dedication. Definitely a five-star effort!
I was really looking forward to visiting this Krispy Kreme flagship store to try the new donut flavors, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. I arrived in the early afternoon, only to find that there were very few options left. I even overheard another customer mention that he had driven over an hour, only to be told that donuts would be available again at 2 PM.
Since I couldn’t get a full dozen of the new flavors inside, I decided to try the drive-thru. However, the employee on the intercom initially told me that only apple donuts were left, which I knew wasn’t true because I had just been inside moments earlier. After I pointed this out, she then allowed me to order what I actually wanted—12 mini donuts.
Out of curiosity, I checked the mobile app while I was still there, and it showed that everything was out of stock. I’m not sure if this is their protocol when inventory is low, but it was frustrating and confusing. Given that this is supposed to be a flagship store introducing new flavors, I expected a much better experience in terms of availability and communication.
I hope Krispy Kreme can improve how they manage stock and inform customers so that others don’t have a...
Read moreUsed to be better... My wife and I went in there the other night and they had no dark roast coffee at all made. When I asked for it the young lady behind the counter just looked at me and said we don't have any. There were plenty of dark roast beans in the grinder and when I pointed it out she then told another young lady who actually began made the coffee, in between being on the phone, and said it was going to be six minutes. To which I replied, "that's okay" . The young lady then proceeded to remake the regular coffee as well as the the dark roast coffee. They seemed a bit aggravated because granted they were a bit busy since the hot and fresh sign was on and there was a lot of people in there. When they finally gave me my coffee, I was not paying attention, and I believe they gave me the regular and not the dark roast. With all of that being said I saw the manager later walk out of the back area to go to the restroom and then walk back in the back area in her office. The problem here is lack of training or lack of caring. The manager needs to be out on the floor especially in the busiest of times. The staff should not get angry at the customer because they have not done what they're supposed to do and keep both kinds of fresh coffee on hand. To top it all off, we had bought three dozen donuts. I was having a problem with my app and needed to get the points added. This also frustrated the staff when they had to go back and add the points. What happened to Customer Service. I am so sick of the attitude that is being presented that the customer should be glad that the employee came to work. Instead of, the employee being glad that they have a job especially in this day and age and being happy to see a customer come in and realize that that's...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would, I came on the $0.89 a dozen day and was told oh so conveniently at exactly 23:00 that they were out of donuts. I wouldnt be as upset if they had told me they were closed but to lie and say you're out of donuts like nobody would think or know otherwise (when your whole process and kitchen is on display) is beyond me. I had been waiting at least an hour in line and had drove 40+ minutes to my closest Krispy Cream after getting off from a 12 hour shift. How convenient of them to run out of donuts at 23:00, on the dot, after I had already seen all the donuts that were prepared to be baked on the conveyor belt while waiting in line. I can speak for a lot of people in saying I'm very disappointed and honestly I feel like my time was not respected. Now I have to drive 40+ minutes back home with nothing. This could've been done differently, ppl who waited in line should've been able to get a raincheck or something. Out of all the people working there, somebody couldve came out and stopped more people from getting in line so that people who were just getting in line didnt have to waste their time and so that those who DID wait could get donuts or raincheck. I will be talking to corporate about the procedure this location decided to take.
Edit: after looking at the reviews I can see they lie to their customers very often... corporate may what to take a look at the core values of this company and have somebody come and get this...
