La Lupita Mexican Eatery — Restaurant in Richmond

Finished my food before I could even take a picture of it! I’ve visited this place twice now and I live around the corner but never thought about stopping by. It’s kinda hidden in the plaza next To CVS.

But let me tell you, The food is Absolutely amazing. hands down, everything is authentic, home made, it feels like I’m eating at my grandmas house! The stake quesadilla is my Go 2 , always get it but DON’T SLEEP ON THE MENUDO ON THE WEEKENDS! Saturday’s and Sunday’s they serve what I think is the BEST menudo I’ve ever had! But be sure to get here before noon cause it sales out fast!

Pricing is also reasonable and affordable as well for the amount of food you get!l, it’s definitely worth it! The location is absolutely beautiful! Filled with so much mexican heritage as well has celebrating all Hispanic and Latino coutures as well! But very beautiful, bright and clean, very Covid safe, a lot of social distancing as well!

And last but not least , the hospitality! It’s a family owned business and let me tell you , everyone is absolutely wonderful! They’ve treated me like family since the first day I walked in! I truly feel like I’m at a family gathering eating some good food! It feels like home! Amazing Costomer service and that’s really what keeps me coming back!

This was one of the most amazing finds I have found during covid, for sure! But, honestley in a life and carrer that has innvolved some of the best restaurants and hospitality experiences in the world, this place and this family is special. Elder is one of the finest pure chefs I have ever encountered. Every detail is seen to, if he can't find product THAT MORINING that doesn't meet his standards, it comes off the menu. He is doing things with seafood I thought only Eric Ripert was doing in the US. If you are ANYWHERE NEAR Richmond California, it is the ONLY place to eat. I'm literally writing this review enjoying my carnitas quesadilla with complementary chips & salsa. Talk about delicious! I'm picky AF when it comes to Mexican food. But this place is by far a top 5 for me. This is my 5th experience here.

Where do I start. First off the staff is wonderful and inviting, great service is at the top of their priority.

Second is the food, it's freaking delicious! DE-LISH-ISH! Everything is freshly prepared. The meat is the best f-ing part! They use a home made marinade recipe that brings me back to when I was kid.

And lastly the restaurant is well kept and clean. If you drive a delivery there's plenty of off street parking. I give this great restaurant...
