Lisa Cakes — Restaurant in Richmond

On a day trip from Cincinnati to Richmond, Indiana we received a recommendation from a store owner to try Lisa's Cakes. I was looking for pie and coffee. There was no pie at Lisa's but Paul showed us the marvelous selection of individualized cake creations and we were blown away with the choices. We ended up buying three and brought two home. Paul prepared a "loaded brookie" for us (a combination of a brownie with a cookie on top, drizzled with caramel, heated, and topped with ice cream) that sooooo goooood! A very large order was made for our company's CEO retirement party. The cakes were fantastic! One was made to look like a suit jacket and tie, and came out better than I had expected. This was not the best part. The cakes underneath all that detailed and percision work were very very delicious and rich! My favorite was the lemon blueberry, but the red velvet was devistatingly decadant. The cake was what most people who were there (and who missed it) talked about for the days that followed. I absolutely recommend Lisa Cakes! We chose this business for our Wedding cake and cupcakes and were VERY impressed. The communication was excellent, the cake was AMAZING, and the way the cakes were decorated was just perfect. Not to mention the flavor is sooo good.
