The food is great when the main manger is in, otherwise it is a complete 180 when he is not. I eat here every day almost and I have noticed the only time the service is poor is mainly at nights or when the manager is not in. When he's there this is one of the best spots to eat. I'm leaving a low review because I know if I'm treated poorly when he's not in then so are other people. I eat here so much because it fits my diet but I'm going to go give the Lexington one a try. They have lost me as a customer after tonight. I had a freebie from their cards and we got two meals, of course they charged me for the most expensive one and on top of that I get no extra chicken on my spud and it's half way burnt. And not only did I not get extra but I didn't even get a regular size portion. And I'm also sick of seeing some of the workers talk to each other and laugh while they are looking at us. If any of you feel like you have something to say then you can say it to our face or not at all! I might come back some during the day on occasions but I'm not coming back at nights...
Read moreI used to love McAllisters. But the last few times we have eaten there have been horrible. Today I ordered a salad, kids meal and two drinks. They charged me for three drinks instead of two, they didn’t give us my sons side dish even though it was on the order slip and when I opened my salad I found raw chicken and very wilted brown lettuce. I have never done a review like this so please don’t take this lightly. Their job isn’t hard. Every time I walk in there the staff is goofing around, having private conversations, or on their phones. Businesses like this have the obligation to teach good work ethic so these kids can have a future, because clearly they aren’t getting it taught at home. I’m done with eating out. I was trying to support you through this but if this is all these kids have to offer, forget it, I’ll make my...
Read moreMcAlister's is a soup and sandwich spot that I tend to overlook for places like Panera or Firehouse. McAlister's has a much wider variety of choices (even with their new pared down menu) than Panera or Firehouse do, but it seems like, while they have a wide selection of choices, the quality of that selection seems to suffer for the sake of variety. Most of the sandwiches I've had here have been good, but forgettable. The muffaletta being the one exception to this rule. Unfortunately the muffaletta has recently and regrettably been removed from the menu. McAlister's does have a spacious and comfortable dining area which is a feature most of the sandwich joints in Richmond lack. The lemonade is fantastic and the service is friendly. The restaurant is well...
