I have never heard of Potbelly's, so my son a d I decided to give it a try. The restaurant was small, the atmosphere was going for a "kitchsy" vibe, but fell short. Their menu isn't very large, and consists of just your. basic run of the mill sandwich shop fare. My son opted for the foot long Italian sub which has salami, capicola, pepperoni, motadelo, and provolone cheese. You can make it a meal by adding chips and a soft drink for $4.00 more. If you choose a bottled drink instead of a fountain it costs $0.70 more. I ordered the Apple walnut chicken salad, but went with the 1/2 size instead of the large. The salad is supposed to contain apples, chicken, bleu cheese, grapes, cranberries, candied walnuts on a bed of greens. I was sorely disappointed with what I actually got. There was hardly any chicken at all, the walnuts were not candied, just plain un- salted walnut pieces, I saw no cranberries, I found maybe 4 chunks of bleu cheese, there were a few chunks of apple on a wilted handful of greens. I opted for a bottle of soda, because they didn't have what I wanted on tap. The staff were friendly, and the place was relatively clean, but due to the low quality, I will not be eating at a Potbellies again. Final bill for lunch for...
ย ย ย Read moreI am a Potbelly super-fan, so it pains me to say what I am about to say. I usually visit the location in Glen Allen at least once a month, but this time I visited their newest location at 1400 N. Arthur Ashe Boulevard. I ordered a Mediterranean sub (Bigs) size and started gaging after one bite. The issue was that the chicken, sauce, and artichokes all tasted spoiled. I don't know if you can imagine eating a sandwich that tastes spoiled, but that is the only way I describe it. Potbelly is an amazing franchise, so for me this seems like a quality control thing. I wish the young men on duty on 7/17/2019 around 6:15 pm spent more time doing their job instead of talking incessantly about bench pressing. I see that a lot of people gave this location a 4 or 5 star rating, but for me I debated going to the ER to get my...
ย ย ย Read moreWe went to this location last Friday and had an awful experience.
We did a takeout order and upon getting home we opened our sandwiches and they were inedible. They were so greasy, it looked like the bread had been set in a deep fryer. My husband opened his sandwich to see what was salvageable and there was raw bacon on it.
We immediately called and the woman on the phone was extremely rude. I politely tried to explain the situation and she just dismissed me and said she would refund us. We werenโt even seeking that but just letting them know it was unacceptable. Especially since our order was nearly $30. She said she would refund us and than rudely hung up. We never received a refund and itโs been over a week.
We love potbellyโs but I would never go back to this location. Very disappointing and risking...
