Holy-MotherOf-Pizza!! Seriously - Just hear me out! Picture it - Centerville, March 19th, 2024 - 5:50pm - I picked my kids up from school and my son got in the car and said "Casey's" (he desperately wanted pizza - mostly that style) - This is not something we do often - So I agreed. Sorry Casey's but THANK GOODNESS their kitchen was down!! We've been here less than a year - so still trying new places, we recalled that cute little pizza car that shared my name, too! Looked it up - ordered and waited. Time to pick up! The kids went in, grabbed the 2 18" Pepperoni pizzas and hopped back in the car! This is where it all started! The incredible, ridiculously irresistible smell filled the entire car! I have NEVER smelled pizza like that before - of any kind-anywhere. My son HAD to look! With his "OMG" response - we ALL had to look! Should have grabbed a pic, but I was driving - sorry. My daughter immediately demanded the box be closed to savor the smell and the heat!! And so it was! We got home, plates ready - dove in! First bite and all 3 of us were over the moon! The kids immediately started sorting out some for lunch tomorrow (today) and I all heard was how delicious it was - so much flavor in a single bite!
The sauce - absolutely incredible. You could actually smell the sauce when standing over the slice. It was not tart. It was not salty. It was not sweet. It was PERFECT! Flavorful - you could see, smell, and taste the herbs. It tasted fresh. Not canned. It was amazing! The abundant pepperoni (no modesty here) - delicious. Not nearly as greasy as most pepperoni is. Not sure how, but it happened.. The crust - also a work of art. Not soggy. Not brittle. Not Hard. Not crunchy. Just INCREDIBLE and flavorful - you could actually taste the crust - but in a freshly baked plain bread kind of way. Not sure how to explain that one. The pizza did not fall apart. Every single bit of it was melded together. Amazing. It was amazing!
Hands down - the BEST pizza in Richmond! If you have not tried it yet - I implore you - Just do it. You will...
Read moreMy 27 year old son told me about this place - Told me it was a great new pizza place. So we went the other day amd ordered a 14 inch pepperoni and I added a salad. Overall experience, OK. If I had to chose one thing to score high; the young adults working there looked NORMAL and more importantly, they were respectful - That's hard to come by these days in Podunk dying towns like Richmond. I certainly appreciate any proprietor who has the entrepreneurial courage to start a new business, especially in Richmond and in particular, the Promenade. Congratulations on your venture, I truly hope you succeed. My hopes for Richmond have been slightly revitalized with the election of a republican Mayor, but his efforts to restore the downtown area witj any new revitalization of business have been SLOW. But if he dosen't hire more police and Richmond starts seeing more law enforcement presence and less druggies and slum vagrancy, noone will want to come around Richmond let-alone any local businesses. P.S. Considering food quality/quantity, location and accommodation(s), this business needs to add more value for slightly...
Read moreI really wanted to give 5 stars and hopefully I'll be able to come back and change it. They have amazing cheese pizzas but if you want sausage you need to order double meat. I watched them for 3 min shaking my pizza, mixing, and rearranging the sausage to try and spread it out instead of just grabbing a little more. I did love the calzone as I'm from NY and it's hard to find a real one around here. The gentleman who made mine the first time did a amazing job and offered to make it every time I go in yet the girls jump in make it throw it in and walk away. The last 2 times my calzone has been burnt. I didn't even bother eating this last one. I might try it again but only if I can get the gentleman to make it. When he does it or anything he...
