I stopped in earlier to get the skinny. Then I came back later with my family. These guys have a solid background with the barbecue place in Hercules, so I got high hopes for their burgers here, too.
Burgers are gooooood! They’re put together with boss sauce, which is slightly spicy, but not too much, even for my tender tongue.
Even Sara who has high standards in burgers smiled as she gave approval to the owners—and that was for lettuce-wrapped burger due to her gluten allergy.
Fries are good too! They’re cooked with beef tallow rather than vegetable oil. I expected greasy grossness, but didn’t notice anything like that—just good ol’ fashioned french fried potatoes, skins and all. But if beef tallow ain’t your bag, you can get sweet potato fries or onion rings, which are both cooked with regular ol’ vegetable oil.
Friendly and knowledgeable service—they answered all my questions.
Clean facilities. Bathroom is clean, with a diaper changing table.
Free parking on the street.
Easy access to and from the freeway, ice cream dessert across the street, can’t ask for a heck of a lot more than that… And there’s other nice amenities nearby in this up-and-coming 2 blocks of Richmond’s North & East neighborhood. e.g., tacos, ice cream, cocktails, thai food, coffee shop, sandwich shop, etc….!
If you choose to give a thumbs-up 👍🏽 or not, I hope you found my...
Read moreWalked in since it's around the corner from my house. I wasn't greeted, just asked what I wanted. Ordered two smash burgers, at $15+ each. Onion rings at $6.00, and a loaded fries $2.50? First of all the burgers were so greasy, they were leaking/driping out the wrapers, and they weren't seasoned all to me. The onion ring were burnt and Hella greasy, just nasty. Only thing that was decent and at a reasonable price were the loaded fries ( like in-out animal style) I myself will not be going back to this establishment. I don't know why the food was so greasy, but not changing their oil...
Read moreI thoroughly enjoyed my dbl cheeseburger with bacon & jalapeno (5/5). Love the grilled onions they add. Fries are, well, fries (3/5). The onion rings are, well, onion rings (3/5). The service was great, they were VERY busy and still capable of dealing well with customers. I enjoyed the overall vibe of the place - small and cozy. It's expensive when compared to the rest of America and generic fast food places, but that's the Bay Area for you. You want cheap - cook your...
