I have been looking for new places to eat with my wife and we found this place which I was super excited about. Ordered the Winter Roll and the Summer Roll and two drinks came out to 33.00 which for sushi, great sushi at that isn't too much in my opinion. Asked the lady told me it would be 10 minutes. I stood by the front waiting patiently. She asked me if I wanted to have a seat and I respectfully declined said it shouldn't be too long. Maybe after 5 minutes she no longer asked me to sit she told me to have a seat and respectfully if I declined the first time chances of me saying yes because you asked twice are very slim. I respectfully declined again and waiting for about another 20 minutes. After 30 minutes I asked if she had an update on the time. Not too rush but to simply rearrange somethings if need be ( I had someone waiting on me ). She doesn't respond to me directly and address the back. She turns around only to take the food that's been sitting on her counter for almost 10 minutes now and packs it up. I say nothing but thank you and make my departure. As I'm in the car I notice I only got one container which contained only one of the rolls I ordered. I call and ask to speak to someone regarding my order. The lady simply says uhh ohh. Which at this point upsets me because not only did I pay 30 to get my food, her tone when she spoke wasn't very inviting, and she cluelessly gave me my incomplete food after waiting 10 extra minutes because she couldn't bother to pay attention. She was more worried about me having a seat then she was about ensure everything was correct and I felt welcomed enough to come back. After speak to the manager he refused to remake my order and said he'd issue a refund which typically takes 2-3 business days. So now I'm hungry and out of 30$ till the refund goes through. Honestly this was a headache and I doubt I'll come by here again. For those who enjoy trying new places and sushi and find yourself here just make sure you're paying attention because the counter lady...

Stopped in on a Saturday at around 1:45 for a late lunch after running some errands nearby. It’s located right by the train station, so we were able to park there. There was no one dining there at the time. I think it’s more popular for takeout (maybe because the place kind of smells like a basement) and I think I would do the same next time.
I appreciated that they had lunch specials even on Saturdays. My husband and I got the two special rolls and two regular roll lunch and shared everything. For the special rolls, we had the spider roll and I think the golden sunset roll? I couldn’t really tell if it was good or not, or even what type of fish was in there because there was entirely too much sauce covering everything. I even tried to scrape some off. For the regular rolls, we went with the spicy white tuna and the yellowtail scallion. I liked that there were actually little chunks of white tuna in the roll, and it wasn’t mushed up into a spicy fish paste. However, they drizzled a bunch of unnecessary spicy on top so if you get a spicy roll, be sure to ask for no sauce on top. The yellowtail scallion was by far my favorite. The fish was fresh and there wasn’t any sauce to cover it up. It was simple and clean. That being said, the 4 stars for this review would only apply to the regular rolls. If I only ordered special rolls, it would probably be a 2.
Next time, I’ll only be doing the regular rolls and making sure there is no sauce on top...
Read moreI’d been seeing Icca Sushi pretty often in the Threads so after keeping an eye on it for a while, I finally gave it a try—and ordered takeout!
It was one of those weekends when I was seriously craving sushi and sashimi, so I went with their “Stairway to Heaven” set for two—something I had bookmarked ages ago.
Here’s what the set came with: 20 pieces of sushi, 10 pieces of sashimi, a giant dragon roll, scallops, 2 shrimp tempura, 2 takoyaki, 2 mini udon, and 2 salads.
The portion was just right for two people, and it was honestly so fun unpacking and enjoying each item one by one.
When I placed the order, the owner kindly mentioned that the presentation might not be perfect since it was takeout— but honestly, no need to worry at all! The presentation was beautifully neat.
The total came to $106 with tax, and considering the variety, quantity, freshness, and overall quality, it felt more than worth it.
The owner even threw in a few extra pieces of sashimi as a little treat, and was incredibly warm and welcoming—which just made the experience even better.
To be honest, the $90–$100 platters from local sushi spots often leave me wanting a bit more.
But Icca Sushi hits that sweet spot perfectly— great value, generous portions, super fresh ingredients. I’m definitely going to be ordering...
