King Kong had their soft opening a few weeks ago, and I was definitely excited! I have visited this place twice. On my 1st visit, I waited about 15 mins to get my 2 drinks. On my 2nd visit, they were a little busy with about 7-8 ppl ahead of me. I ordered 3 drinks; they took about 37 mins. First drink was ready within 15 mins. 2nd drink was ready around the 20 min mark, and the last drink was ready at exactly 37 mins. I don't think the drinks were made in the order they were received. Now about their extensive menu selections. You can customize your sugar level and how much ice you want in your drinks. I ordered all my drinks with 25% sugar in my 2nd visit, and they were still way too sweet for me. Imagine my first visit with 50% sugar. Lol. I had to pour it out into a bigger cup, and added equal amount of water to make it enjoyable. More value for the money I suppose. Lol. The people work there were very friendly, but I felt they were a little under staffed (3-4 at the front). I'll wait for them to work out their kinks soon, and I hope...
Read morePlease be patient as they just opened. They have a variety of Vietnamese snacks and Asian boba drinks. You can order from the Kiosk or at the register. Some food items aren't offered right now, but was on the kiosk, so I ordered them and didn't find out until we got our drinks. I highly recommend just ordering from the registers.
It was very busy (congrats to them), so wait time was about 45 minutes, so expect a wait đ If you're looking to put in the coupon which they offered on their page, you won't have that option on the kiosk, you'd have to order at the registers.
Below is the strawberry banana slush with lychee jelly, and seasalt Jasmine green tea. You can custom how sweet and how much ice you'd like in your drinks as well. I got it half sweet, and a quarter ice, it was still a tad too sweet for me (I don't eat sweets, so everything is too sweet for me đ), so I'll do 25% sweet for myself next time. Can't wait to try the Asian...
Read moreOrdered a brown sugar Milk Tea at 6:05pm CST on 04/01/2023. The tea was extremely thick and viscous. I suspect the young woman who prepared the drink mistakenly used milkshake base rather than tea base. When questioned, she said she didn't know why it was so thick and that she just used what she was told. When asked if it was intended to be so thick, she said she didn't know.
There was no offer to replace, remake, or refund even after informing her I have had several teas at this location in the past, all with a normal, tea like, consistency. I'll go to Ice's Corner in Flowood from now on.
I believe the young woman may have been under the influence of a narcotic. Her repeating of the same line of "I don't know" along with her twitchy movements led me to believe this. I wonder if all Kong Teas share the same...
