We’ve been longtime fans of Rise n’ Grind, the cozy coffee shop next door, so we were thrilled to try out the new addition, Garden Girl—and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel so welcome, even amidst the buzz and excitement of launching a brand-new business.

The food was absolutely incredible. The Açaí bowl was bursting with freshness, and the sandwich—piled high with tender roast beef—was hearty and satisfying. Every bite felt like it was made with care and quality ingredients.

As if lunch wasn’t delightful enough, we continued our outing by grabbing an iced tea from Rise n’ Grind and exploring the second floor. The upstairs area is a treasure trove of local shops, each offering unique finds that perfectly round out the experience.

Though my family and I have been to Rise and Grind many times, this was our first time trying Garden Girl. I don't normally like acai, but I wanted to give it another try. I told the very polite, professional, and friendly young lady at the counter, Laney, to make me what she felt would be a good representation of the restaurant. She asked me what she could and couldn't use, which only left out coconut, and I told her I would try anything else. AMAZING! The bowl was great, very fresh, and perfectly balanced. I usually only leave reviews when something falls short, so I’m glad to share a positive one here. I finally tried this spot after it’s been open for a while, and it did not disappoint. I ordered the roast beef — I’d seen some reviews saying it was cold and underwhelming, but they offered to toast it, and it was fantastic. So, while the sandwich can be served cold, you have the option to get it warmed, which makes a big difference. Overall, it was fresh, flavorful, and exactly the kind of place this area needs.
