I cannot say enough good things about this cafe. The only downside is that it is 40mins away from where I live, but that won't stop me from visiting! The atmosphere is open yet cozy and inviting. I went on a Tuesday morning and the place was busy (always a good sign!), but I didn't have to wait long to order or receive my food. All of the staff I interacted with were pleasant with welcoming smiles and helpful demeanors. My brother and I both ordered the Big Rise Breakfast Sandwich on Everything Bagel. It's huge, so make sure you are hungry. Personally, I could do without the cream cheese since there is so much on the sandwich anyway but that is personal preference. I loved the combo of extra cheese and bacon with a healthy amount of spinach to make me feel slightly less like a glutton when I polished off the whole thing. On my way out I purchased the last two chocolate croissants to-go and enjoyed one as an afternoon snack. Hands down it was the best chocolate croissant I've ever had. Buttery and rich with a lot of chocolate. Run, do not walk, to Rise N Grind!! But save me a chocolate...
Read moreI just moved to the area and had high expectations for this place. Very cute inside and great atmosphere- the cashier was great and knowledgeable. However, after ordering it took 34 minutes for my toasted bagel and croissant sandwich. When I noticed the time I saw an order up that had been placed 12 minutes after ours and was 3 breakfast sandwiches - I asked and they said they were waiting on the toasted croissant⌠unfortunately, once we received our food, it was cold and soggy. Clearly had been siting in the back for 20 mins. The jalapeĂąo bagel was dense, no air in the dough. Iâm not sure if it was toasted or warm, if it would be good or not⌠itâs hard to say since it seemed they forgot about our order. The croissant sandwich with egg and bacon was also cold. Had so much potential. The coffee was great and the staff were friendly. 2 stars because I rate based almost entirely on food. I wish I could give this place another try, but I almost just tossed my bagel in the trash so, I canât say that I will. It was not a great first impression of our...
Read moreWe came by on our vacation to get some coffee with my sisters. Between the 4 of us it was over $100 worth of drinks. Mine and my sisters did not have any flavor whatsoever, that wasnât a big deal, I kindly went up and asked if we could get some flavor in there because it just tasted like milk. A lady with dark curly hair looked at me like I was insane for suggesting that the drink wasnât made correctly. She called over a red haired girl who made the drink and said âyou put those flavors in there right? â as Iâm standing there. The curly headed lady then said âdo you even know whatâs in your drink, what do you want me to do.â Iâm the manager of my own coffee shop and never would I treat a customer that way. They made an incorrect drink and that was not a big deal weâve all done it, what was a big deal is they were completely disrespectful when I asked to fix it. Given my family just spent $120 dollars for all of drink you would think they would be okay with fixing a wrong drink. Hopefully if it ever happens again they donât treat another...
