I have lived in riverside for over 10 years and always loved this place. Today’s experience in customer service was not up to par. Upon entering I was greeted by the nice staff however one particular worker didn’t seem like she wanted to be there.
Adryana took my order, but she looked irritable. She never made eye contact when I ordered and had a very angry tone as if I was making her mad as I ordered. Her facial expressions made the impression she really didn’t want to take my order. She asked if I wanted to eat in or take out. I clearly stated eat in however she gave me everything in three different bags and not a tray as it is expected when a customer requests to dine in. I asked for hot sauce but she game me a bunch of ketchup instead. When I asked for curl your tongue hot sauce, I guess I wasn’t quick enough to tell her the name of the hot sauce and she said “I’ll just give you everything” and handed me each two huge handfuls of every type of hot sauce and left. So now I have all types of hot sauce and only wanted one. Also, she didn’t give me a straw which was right next to her.
Clearly Adryana was not listening to a customer when ordering, did not greet the customer, and didn’t acknowledge I was there. After she expressed her irritability through her poor work pertinence, she left her worksite. I guess she was in a hurry to end her shift and get out of work because I did not get the service I have always received here at Bakers. I will return to bakers as I alway love it here, but I hope Adryana doesn’t have another bad day and show it through poor work...
Read moreUPDATE: Tonight, i was very unhappy to get the burger I have been buying from here since they opened. Just to find that the meat patty was thinner than the tomato slice, i mean we are talking less than 1/8 inch thick. It was probably the same thickness as the cheese. Flavor was no longer balanced as it normally is. I am very dissatisfied that I will now have to look around for a place that makes a good burger again. They have dropped to a 2-star review. The food here is consistently hot, fresh, and good. The owner of this store must stay on top of the quality of food and service provided here. I met him at the grand opening and saw that he was very serious about these things. Great place to go and no long lines like in and out anywhere.
Food here is usually very hot and fresh. While they have slipped a bit on their quality since their grand opening, I still prefer their food over other places in the area. I would like to see them bring their freshness and quality and service back to what it was for the first 6 months they were open. Read moreI recently visited this bakers and was shocked by the unprofessional behavior of the manager, Anna. Not only was she rude to customers, but she also seemed to treat her staff poorly. A customer in line behind me asked to use the restroom and was told it was only for paying customers, even though he was clearly waiting to make a purchase. I tried to point this out, as the restaurant was busy, and her back was turned to the customers most of the time.
Instead of addressing the situation calmly, Anna pointed her finger in my face and rudely told me to “mind my own business.” This is an absolutely unacceptable way to treat a customer. Another customer nearby also commented on her rudeness.
This kind of behavior is not what anyone expects from a manager. If Anna cannot handle the pressure of the job, perhaps it’s time for the restaurant to reevaluate her role. Customers deserve respect and professionalism, and my experience was far from it. I will also be contacting there corporate office. This world is hard enough and people like that make it harder
