Nestled on Market Street in Riverside, Beignet Spot is more than just a breakfast joint – it's an experience that tantalizes the taste buds and warms the soul. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by a beautifully decorated, lively atmosphere that promised a delightful meal.
The staff were incredibly friendly, offering a genuinely warm welcome that made me feel right at home from the get-go. Their hospitality set a positive tone for the entire visit.
Eager to sample their signature offerings, I started my breakfast journey with the Beignet Flight, a brilliant concept that allows you to savor three distinct beignet flavors. Each of the three - Peach Cobbler, Banana Foster, and Berry Berry - was a masterpiece. These weren't just good; they were exceptionally soft, perfectly fried, and bursting with flavor. The delicate sweetness and pillowy texture were truly outstanding, making it clear why "Beignet Spot" is their name. I absolutely loved every bite!
The beignets were so phenomenal that I couldn't resist exploring more of their menu. My second order, the Breakfast "JFC" Sandwich paired with their crispy Tots, proved to be an equally spectacular choice. The "JFC" sandwich was an absolute flavor bomb – incredibly delicious, perfectly seasoned, and clearly crafted with care. And those Tots? The ideal crunchy, savory accompaniment. I literally devoured every bite in no time, a testament to just how much I loved the food.
Adding to this already stellar experience was the owner himself. A truly super nice and friendly individual, he made it a point to visit each table, genuinely asking about our food and ensuring we had everything we needed for breakfast. This personal touch elevated the meal from great to truly memorable, showcasing a real passion for customer satisfaction.
My time at Beignet Spot was nothing short of amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect, from the vibrant atmosphere to the incredible food and heartwarming service. This place is undoubtedly a fantastic spot for breakfast, brunch, or lunch, excelling in both its namesake beignets and its delectable fried chicken sandwiches.
I'm already planning my next visit and eagerly anticipate trying more of their diverse beignet creations and mouthwatering fried chicken sandwiches. Beignet Spot is a must-try in Riverside - prepare for a delightful...
Read moreI was very excited when I found out about this unique spot. However, on a recent first time visit here I was a little disappointed. My wife and I walked in and was greeted by a staff member behind the counter. She wasn’t welcoming, not to say she was rude or anything. She was just “there”. We placed our order and was given a number to display on our table. We sat at a long “community” counter height table. We noticed that the entire table was very sticky and it didn’t appear to have been cleaned in awhile. We looked at a few other tables and they all seemed sticky too. So we said no big deal and sat down. While we waited we viewed the kitchen activity through the big glass window in the wall. This is a neat feature to watch the process. Our order was for one peach cobbler beignet but we waited a very long time to get our food. And we noticed every else was waiting a long time too, both dine in customers and take out customers. It wasn’t extremely busy so we didn’t understand why it was taking so long. During our wait we noticed a couple waiting for an extended period of time to place their order but no one was at the counter. They waited so long they ended up leaving. Our order finally came out and it was tasty. The portion was perfect for us to split. I really, really wanted to like this place but the service was mediocre and the place lacked that friendly local vibe that you’d expect from a place like this. The staff was not engaging at all with any of the customers. A simple heads up about our order would have gone a long way. I’ll give it some time and maybe go back for a...
Read moreI parked in the back. Had to pay $2.25 with credit card to park for 90 minutes. I noticed others didn't pay when they got out of their car. I figured they must have a monthly pass. Went around the store and pushed in the big wooden doors. Was warmly greeted and asked if I was ready to order. There were a couple people waiting for their to go orders. I told the nice lady if need a full minute. Looked over the variety of items and decided on the number one breakfast and a cafe au lait with caramel. I walked around and saw through the big windows the beignets being fried!! Awesome. Cute little tables and chairs around the three rooms. I found a table for four with a bench for one side instead of two chairs. It had big throw pillows for comfort and decorations. I was given a number to put on a wire on the table. My coffee arrived in a large to go cup. Tasted delicious. About 8 minutes passed then I smelled something delicious coming my way! See photos! All so good! It was too much for me. I asked if there was a way to order half the lady said it would be the same price. So I ate what I could and got a lid for the grits container I had filled with the other sausage. Of course I ate all four beignets. 😋 Their WiFi hadn't been set up to share so I didn't stay long. I might go back and try the dessert beignets. Great place to chill. They have a flat screen tv...
