As soon as I walked into this BWW location, I knew the service was going to be slow. I didn't think it was going to be so horrible! It was just two of us on a Wednesday late afternoon, about 4pm. We had to seat ourselves because nobody acknowledged us, so after several minutes, I motioned to a server that we were taking a table in the bar area. The place was empty, except for a few people in the bar area. In fact, the only person keeping up seemed to be the bartender. We ordered two drinks, they came right away, my beer was actually refreshing. It was downhill from there. I actually had to call a server to our table to place our food order since nobody came to our table and we were going on 20 minutes already. The server, actually seemed surprised that we were going to order food!
We ordered cheese curds, but they were out, so we ordered Mozzarella sticks. We also ordered two sets of wings, celery and carrots, and a large order of fries. As I was waiting for the order, I saw people come in and wait several minutes to be seated, way too long. Many people were not even acknowledged by any staff, wait staff, bus boy, manager, bar staff.... no one!
After about 20 minutes, the cheese sticks came to our table. I ordered another drink, and that came right away. Another 25 minutes passed, I made eye contact with the server and she came back to our table with half of the order. I advised the server that we are missing the other set of wings, she indicated she would check on it.
Me and my husband decided to start sharing our food, since my wings were nowhere in sight. After about 25 more minutes, I was able to flag down our server, I told her we are still waiting, and she apologized and said they were behind. I lost my patience and said that I did not want to hear excuses!
The entire time that I was waiting for my food, I tried to make the best of it, I was trying to enjoy my beer, feeling embarrassed for the crew and the way this place was being run. I noticed long wait times for guests waiting to be seated and for their food to come out. The staff had no sense of urgency, I could not tell who was on duty and who was off duty, the place seemed like a hangout for employees, they were talking, eating , and engaging in light horseplay. I had to flag down our server every single time that I needed something, she never came to check on us.
I had enough! I called the server over, and this time, I was being polite due to I felt bad for snapping at her earlier, reminding myself that the server is not the person that makes the schedule, orders the product or runs the operation. I told the server to cancel the other order of wings and to bring the check. She did not seem surprised at all, did not apologize for the bad service, nor did she send a manager to our table to intervene.
I did not notice a manager on the floor. If there was a manager on duty, he was doing a horrible job! He or she did not stand out from the crew, nobody was given any sense of direction, there was no sense of urgency and there was not a lot of guests to deal with!! How can they be so behind? How could the place be run so poorly??
This BWW used to be a fun place to go to, but not anymore. I don't see how they can remain open for very much longer. I will never go back and I suggest that you stay from this place too!
And please don't give me your canned response of "Please fill out the form at the bottom of buffalowildwings.com/faq where it says 'Orders & Visits' and we will address with the team".
How about a refund for this horrible experience instead? Our plan was to have an early dinner, instead, we ate some of the food, stayed way too long and ended up going somewhere...
Read moreToday (September 21, 2024), I visited the Buffalo Wild Wings with my boyfriend, my daughter, and my son. We waited in the front entryway for an extended period while we were ignored by the greeter. When we were finally seated, before taking our drink orders the waitress immediately asked us if we were paying with a card or with cash. When my boyfriend told her we were paying with a card the waitress insisted on taking his card and putting a hold on it. When I asked her why that was necessary I was told by the waitress that the manager told her to do it as it is their policy because they have a problem with people not paying for their food. This didn't sit well with either of us, especially me because I immediately felt racially profiled. I was the only person of color in the whole establishment. I let it go and we went on about our business and ordered food after she returned my boyfriend's card to him. While we sat and ate I quietly observed the patrons around us and not once did the waitress take anyone else's card to put a hold on it like she did with us. When she brought the check I asked her why she wasn't holding onto anyone else's card information and she stammered and couldn't give me an answer. When I told her I felt like I was being racially discriminated against, again, she didn't have much to say. She then goes on to say, "I'm not racist, I'm Mexican". I'm not sure what that had to do with anything, but that was all she could come up with. I expressed my disgust with the situation and we paid and left. I am voicing my concerns here because I was made to feel like a criminal simply because I had the nerve to be a black person eating in a restaurant (and not even a clean one). I have never felt like that in my entire life. It was embarrassing and demeaning. The table beside us heard the entire exchange so we quickly paid and I had to walk out with my tail between my legs feeling like I wasn't as good as the Caucasian and Hispanic patrons. It's disheartening that your establishment allows such things to happen and that your wait staff isn't trained in basic customer service and human decency. I will never patronize another Buffalo Wild Wings and will be sharing this story with anyone I know who does choose to go there. I went out to spend a decent afternoon with my family and left feeling like a criminal simply because I...
Read moreWe visited the Buffalo Wild Wings in Riverside, CA (next to the Tyler Mall) on Easter Sunday, April 20th around 7:30 PM, and unfortunately, it was by far the worst experience we’ve ever had at this establishment.
When we arrived, we were seated right away since the restaurant was not busy at all — maybe 5–7 tables had customers. That part was nice. Our server was pleasant at first and took our drink and appetizer order. We ordered the large onion rings, but what we received looked like a small portion — just a few tiny rings that definitely weren’t worth the price. That should’ve been our first red flag.
We then ordered the 30-piece boneless wings with 3 sauces: mild, spicy garlic, and honey BBQ, along with a kid’s hamburger meal. When the wings came out, we couldn’t tell the difference between the mild and spicy garlic — they tasted almost identical. On top of that, the wings were cold, which was really disappointing. We asked our waitress which sauces were which, and while she pointed them out, they all tasted very similar.
Then we tried the honey BBQ wings — and they were extremely spicy, not sweet like they’re supposed to be. We let our server know, and she said she’d put in a new order. When the replacement wings came out, there were only 6 pieces, even though we originally ordered 10. When we told her the order was short, she tried to say we only received 7 honey BBQ wings in the original batch — which wasn’t true. We still had the original wings on the table and showed her there were 10. Only after that did they finally bring out the remaining 4 wings to complete the order.
During all this, we were still waiting on our son’s burger, which didn’t come out until about 15 minutes later — and only after we reminded her again. The service throughout was poor. Our waitress barely checked on us, and my husband had to go to the bar just to get a water refill.
The worst part? No apology. No ownership of the issues. And again, the restaurant wasn’t even busy, so there’s really no excuse for the quality of food or the lack of service.
We left disappointed, frustrated, and hungry — and we won’t be returning to...
