Crave Coffee & Tea — Restaurant in Riverside

I've been a loyal patron of Crave for about four years now, visiting almost every Friday for my usual order: a Nitro accompanied by a bagel topped with cream cheese, avocado, and tomato. However, over my last few visits, I've noticed a recurring issue – missing cream cheese. Given that I usually order to-go and only realize the omission once I'm on my way to work, it's been quite frustrating.

During my recent visits, I've made a point to check my order at the counter, only to find, yet again, no cream cheese on my bagel. Politely, I brought it up to one of the female baristas, expecting a completed order. However, despite her acknowledgment, she simply handed me a small tub of cream cheese and called my order ready. When I questioned why it wasn't applied to the bagel as requested, she seemed irritated, suggesting that making a new bagel would be too much trouble.

Feeling somewhat exasperated by the exchange, I expressed my disappointment and left without further confrontation. As a frequent customer who visits at least once or twice a week, tipping generously and always treating the staff with respect, I felt disregarded and undervalued. It's disheartening to receive such treatment, especially given my consistent patronage and courteous demeanor.

Regrettably, after this experience, I've decided to explore other coffee options. While I've enjoyed Crave in the past, the inconsistency in service, particularly when the head barista isn't present, has led me to seek out a new spot. It's a shame, as I genuinely appreciated the atmosphere and offerings at Crave. Here's to hoping for better experiences...

I came to pick up an order that was meant to be picked up by 9:45am, arrived at 9:36 there was 2 customers ahead they got charged and served then another customer comes in and orders gets her order and leaves then 2 more customers show up she starts to make their order an i ask when will mine be ready and she says its coming up then i say its already 5 minutes late and she says you arrived 5 minutes early even though its already 9:50am i ask 1 more question. Why have they bin taking orders and making me wait she replys customers are first doordash last and i ask isnt the order im picking up for a customer and she replys i dont have to explain myself those are owners orders and told her other employees not to talk to me very disrespectful i order from here through doordash 4 or 5 times a week never ever again will i order from here i always buy from small local shops but this one is not one i will keep delivering for or ordering from. Keep in mind those doordash orders come in few minutes before the driver gets it so they had atleast 35 minutes to make 2 coffees i understand if it was busy which it wasnt but also remember there is a customer waiting for there order even if its through us they are still paying for your food. A little disappointing honestly. I was very excited to try this place, I love the environment. Unfortunately, I was not greeted when I entered the building, nor was I greeted at the register. It wasn't very clear if there was a specific way to form a line so I just walked to the register where there was one girl. The employee just stared at me until I spoke. The menu isn't too hard to read but it is hand written in chalk with some cursive so it gets a little sloppy but still visible. The bagel sandwich I ordered (plain bagel, egg, tomato, and avocado) was fresh and tasty. I also ordered a nitro cold brew and after ordering the girl just kind of made a noise and walked away, when she came back she informed me it isn't working at the moment and offered a regular cold brew. I declined and took a dirty chai latte hot instead. It came out after my sandwich but is very tasty. I will give this place another try at a different hour and hopefully I will see better result. Overall it seems to be another cozy coffee shop for college students to do some work or to meet with a friend. The lighting and overhead are all gorgeous, lots of wood and warm tones, with a strange splash of beach house. They're still figuring it out but only 3...
