Monday December 13th I started working g at Pollo loco. Mostly everyone wasfriendly and the manager named Ninfa was super nice. But on Tuesday my second day there, this old guy by tge name of Armando was so rude.this started happening when the manager stepped out. My second day and I wasn't ready to be at the front t register thing orders by myself. When I let Armando know that there was a customer at the front he replied with (pues atiendalo) which means (well take care of him) he kept on bossing me around as if I already knew what to do. It was the longest 4 hours I've spent in my life wasted because I wanted to learn, I really needed the job, didn't want to quit or give up. When I let Armando know that it was almost 2 o'clock and that I would be leaving at 2pm he was rude to me and replied with (ustedes se va cuando yo le diga que se va) which is ( you will leave when I tell you to leave). 2 pm came I still wasn't able to leave because Armando wouldn't come to the register and there were customer in line to order, he said to take there order first. Once Again I approached Armando and told him I had to leave, he said ( the manager has you on the schedule till 4 o'clock) I said yes but I spoke with her in the morning and she said yes I could leave at early, I had no babysitter for my son to get picked up from school. He said in his Armando rude way ( ballast entonces) (leave then) Rude rude rude!!. Can't believe you could have someone talk to employees like this. I was in tears driving back. One day the manager is there and everyone is trying to help me out very nice, the next day she's gone everyone turned their back and couldn't help when I asked. One of the female preparing food was very nice don't remember her name, she was there on Monday and Tuesday, the older lady on Tuesday was being very patient with me trying to teach me to bag the order. Other then that it was a horrible day, emotionally I was a wreck after. People I've talked to about how I was treated by "Armando", they right away know who he is. Read moreEver since the pandemic every El Pollo Loco have been Stingy with their salsa. I mean these containers don't hold much but they shouldn't be half filled nor should they be limited to paying customers. I have yet to visit one with the exception of the one located off of Milliken in Ontario that is glad to give you what you asked without a huff and puff like if you're unconvincing them. I worked for El Pollo Loco for almost 14 years 10 years ago and I was frequently asked for by frequent customers for my suggestion, service and effort to make sure the customer left happy knowing that order was correct and packed well freshness. I have gone to many where I am missing items don't move from the window open my container letting the cashier about missing items and them complaining as if I could of made it disappeared in their presence. I know that because of the pandemic the salsa bar isn't up like it use to be but I am sure their food cost have gone down because not many people are packing their own salsa but it shouldn't be given to a customer half filled or dry or passed they expiration date. Read moreThey took forever to take my order and I was the only vehicle in the drive through and after they finally took my order they asked what kind of tortillas I wanted and I said flour please. As we get to the window to get our food we asked for plates and the ask how many when I told her 10 because my faking meal feeds 8ppl and I ordered extras she said they could give them to me even though I stated I could pay for the plates. She was rude and the manager just ignored us. Also saw the manager touching food without gloves and handling g the cash register at the same time. It was not a positive experience. As we get home to open up the bag I discover that she never gave us tortillas and the chicken was very dry and and stiff like maybe it was old chicken they had and didn’t want to cook us new chicken.
