Greek Street Grill — Restaurant in Riverside

Not sure if they just a bad day but ordered my usual beef and chicken dinner plate with salad and rice. I went to grab napkins and fork and my food was already on the table when I returned. I was surprised because how could you cook my kabobs in less than two minutes, plate it and serve it all before I grabbed my utensils? Well I took a bite of beef first and it was extremely dry and chewy. I literally had to spit it out onto a napkin after chewing forever. My friend ordered same thing and had same experience. The owner replaced the beef kabobs with just another dry kabob again. I always order same plate and wait like 20 minutes for my food which is understandable since it has to be cooked but this time we know the food was precooked because there's absolutely no way it could be prepared in a few minutes. I went to get a box to take my dog the leftovers and let the person know the food was just not edible. She offered to refund or make new kabobs, I'm like 3rd time will be no different. She refunds me $8 only of $17 because I ate the sides: rice and salad. Well we couldn't eat anything else and left hungry and not happy with this experience. I'm leaving review because the right thing to do was give a full refund, not partial. I've been coming here for years and that to me is not good...

Food is good here. Friendly service, BUT, if you come near to closing time and you order before they CLOSE, expect to be pushed out (right at, or just before closing time) by them turning off some lights, putting chairs on the tables and cleaning floors while you work to finish a meal. Granted, they have a closing time, and I try to remember that when coming to a place like this, BUT, I asked BEFORE ordering if it would be okay to eat in, given the time was about 20 minutes before the closing time. They said "yes", that's fine. And at 9:25, they are already turning off lights, and cleaning up? The place closes at 9:30pm. My feedback is, simply tell customers that they are NOT welcome to stay after the posted closing times, and that you intend to close at 9:30 Sharp. At least then we can decide whether to eat in, take out, or NOT order food with this info. I don't think this is an unreasonable request as a customer who takes the time, effort and money to drive here and pay for their food/service... Their food is worth a trip though, so it's a matter of some minor consideration based on my feedback. ...

I can’t believe I haven’t posted a review here you know the thing is usually when I like something so much. I totally forget to take pictures because I start eating and I really enjoy the food but I love this restaurant. I’ve been coming here for years and everything is always really good. I’ve never ever had a bad experience. It’s always really clean. The restrooms are clean. They serve you a good amount of food. The rice is delicious. The salad is delicious the salad dressing I love that they put feta on your salad. Their tzatziki sauce is super delicious. I think that’s what it’s called and I always get the Skewers and the vegetables are always perfect on the skewers. Everything is always really good. I love it here I love Mediterranean type of food. My old boss was from Iran and he would always bring us food from his country and oh my gosh it’s just absolutely delicious.
