Drove out on the 91E to Riverside area to check this place out. We only really wanted to play miniature golf. We ended up paying 10$ for parking, then leaving. I checked with Google maps that 10$ parking is pretty slim as they have expanded quite a bit. We walked from the far side of the parking back to the enterence check the ticket prices out. Parking was pretty full. Also, when we passed the pump area for Buccaneers Cove some weird loud warning alarm was going off, unsettling. TIP * The one driveway enterence is off Diana, the street that parallels the FWY. The place is surrounded by fencing so good luck doing street parking. Admittedly my friends were impatient and didn't want to wait in line. But there are a few other downsides to this "bargain attraction vendor". Seems this place follows the "all-in-one" model for tickets. There are several things to do here, for example a water park and amusements too. There are several levels of tickets too. You pay for packages at the main ticket area that are "inclusive deals". We thought it was just marketing to get you to pay more. Three people @ 20$ + the parking we thought 70$ to play mini golf? No thanks... TIP * Go online, look under tickets, there is mini golf there for single day play 10$. Note, can't promise this will work, I just tried and had a 503 server error, tickets server down. LOLz... The mini golf only is online and at the bottom of the tickets page. I even asked the parking lot person about tickets. I thought ticket prices were generic and she'd know this. After getting the polite "my world and info is limited to this parking area" she called Mgmt (?) On her radio. She still didn't answer my mini golf only ticket question. I did see electrical cords on the ground in a public parking area (pics). Safety? Also a large bulk piece of wood for some project on the side of the parking area? Weird. Maybe your looking to cool off with the kids, do a few rides, video games, etc. It is a cheaper place than Disney for sure. IF you can park. Would still like to go back and try the mini golf there. The landscaping was very nice. The mini golf looked kept up from outside the gate. The place looked pretty popular too. We visited on Labor Day weekend too, early afternoon, so parking we probably extra crowded. I'm left with the question, why not just sell mini golf by itself at the ticket counter? It was not listed (pics). Their competition, Boomers does have a clearer menu with single OR group items to do. Neither Boomers or Camelot (well refunds you) charge you for parking either. See my review for Camelot also on the 91 but closer to Anahiem if you like mini golf. That's actually where we played mini golf that day, for three dollars more...
Read moreThis place was a ton of fun for the little one's. I do not recommend eating at Al's BBQ. We had an issue. They did not have the souvenir cups put together. The cashier let us know she would get them going but it would be a few minutes, she would call us up. She never did. We were the first one's in to order. Ordered 5 souvenir cups, 3 orders of carne asada fries and 1 cheese pizza. 2 of the fries came out, still no drinks. We even watched the same cashier whom had taken our order use them for people whom ordered after us. Asked about our drinks. We had been here for over 30 minutes at this point, still no drinks. Another cashier advised they had to make them. I asked the gentleman whom made the 3rd order of fries to please help us with the drinks. He did so and was great. The team had walked out to our table and said the pizza would be just a bit longer. They then call a # out for a pizza, but it was not ours. Crazy as we were the first and only customers at time of order. How someone whom ordered after us would get a pepperoni pizza before us was crazy. At this point I told someone from our family I was going to ask for manager as we had waited over 50 minutes, no pizza and had barely receive our drinks, so we were just going to order the kids in our group food from some where else. The manager was walking by at this time, turned around and said "I am the manager, what's wrong, what can I help you with" I informed her I would like the pizza refunded due to the poor service and other customers receiving their pizza order prior to ours. She was very friendly and did so. At which point the pizza came out, she still gave it to us. It looked horrible, as you can tell in the photo. The cheese was burnt. Kid's would not eat it. I recommend Castle Park. The Kid's had a blast but avoid the BBQ place!!! There were a ton of rides for the Kid's, lines were not long. The ride operator's were great. Smiling, friendly and helped the kids buckle up and get out of rides. The golf course is well maintained. We had a wonderful time at the park, and enjoyed the Pizza Hut pizza we had for dinner a little later. The cost for 5, including unlimited golf was about 215 dollars. My niece's can't wait for me, their auntie visiting from out of state to...
Read moreI purchased tickets for castle dark and and dia de los muertos for my hole family for this year Halloween. we was so excided to go there as our visit there last year was really fun and wanted to go this year but to be honest, it was nothing like last year. the mazes where nothing good. they had like one person scaring people thru the hole maze. it wasn't scary at all or fun. some of the mazes we did a long line proximally a little over two hours for nothing. when we went inside the maze it was no monsters or what so ever, we was just walking inside the maze waiting for someone to come out and scare us but nothing. so we tried a different one and same thing every maze was alone. some of the mazes had only one monster and honestly you need more then just one gombey doing the job for it to be fun like last year and they really wasn't doing nothing. and at some point we had one that was just standing screaming and telling everybody in line to go home lol!!!!! and it was only 8pm. so honestly me and my family didn't enjoy it this time and is sad because this park was becoming one of our favorites. I feel like it was just a waist of money. the only thing that really enjoyed was the show that they do in the cafeteria. does girls are amazing specially the main girl that does the show she is so good. all them girls from that show are so good to be honest with you. oh! one more thing I bought a margarita and it had no alcohol the good thing was that I also bought a pretzel and I sat down to eat it when I notice my drink was too sweet so I told the guy and after an hour of running tests on matching he tells me he was sorry and didn't offered me a different drink or my money back he just apologized. anyway, the only reason I gave this a one star was because I had to do that to be able to...
