Buccaneer Cove at Castle Park — Attraction in Riverside

I was a bit disappointed by the fact that you aren't allowed to bring your own chairs. I brought mine because I KNEW that there weren't going to be any available since it was first come, first served. Nobody told me they weren't allowed and I was approached by an employee and told me (nicely)that I couldn't have them. I then looked around, and asked him, where he expected my children and I to sit? There are no chairs, we can't use the cabanas since they're reserved and the cement was so scalding hot that it was going through the towel one of my sons was sitting on. He just stated it was first come, first served. So I put my toddler in her stroller and luckily someone was nice enough to give me a chair. There is hardly any shade and no umbrellas. Best piece of advice: go early to grab chairs. Otherwise, you're stuck sitting in the sun...

The place is extremely cute for children and the staff are great, but the people here make everything so ghetto unfortunately. I’m 17 weeks pregnant and came here with my 9m and 5y so I rented a cabana to lay and put my child for naps. Every time I left for the bathroom, rides, food people would steal the cabana and leave it soaked with trash everywhere. I wanted to keep the place dry for me and my child to lay. Every time I turned around someone was stealing chairs out of my private rented area. All of these people were extremely rude and ghetto about giving me my spot back. I thought this was going to be more of a water park but it turned out to be an oversized splash pad for kids. The good thing about it was is the option of being able to ride rides in the amusement side or play a round of mini golf (additional fee). Food is a little bit pricey, all the employees are mostly kids so you need to be patient as they don't always have the answers to the questions. I'm still giving a five-star rating because the experience itself was fun for the kids. If you're going to the water side of Castle Park I highly recommend getting a cabana it's worth...
