Con Sabor a Sinaloa: Sushi, Churros, Coffee & Ice Cream — Restaurant in Riverside

This dessert shop was honestly a lucky find. My friends and I were craving a late night snack and while scrolling through google, I noticed this shop pop up with delicious pictures of churros and other treats. I immediately suggested this place to my friends and we were on our way.

We were greeted warmly by the staff up front, he was very patient and gave me plenty of suggestions. I went with the original churro and the cajeta sauce while two of my friends got the churro and ice cream and one friend got the churro sundae. All the churros were made freshly to order, it took about 15 minutes or so before they were ready.

While we waited for our desserts, I glanced around the seating area and noticed the cute greenery aesthetic of the shop. There were a bunch of little plants decorating the area and all the decors were adorable.

Now the important part, the churros, these churros were DELICIOUS! Perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and warm on the inside. The cajeta, suggested by the staff, was the perfect pairing. There were 3 people behind the counter and a couple of customers. It took 16 minutes for them to get us our order. The churros were nasty. Even though I assume they are fresh buy they are kept under a heat lamp for who knows how long? Making them hard and flavorless. The coffee was ok but no cafe de Olla. If you are claiming you are a mexican establishment and have a mexican city in the name you better live up to it. For $29.00 I could've had better. Been to this place multiple times the coffee is great, service is great, and it looks great in there. They got multiple options; coffee, churros, ice cream, desserts. Every thing I’ve had so far taste great and the place is also always clean. I don’t see much foot traffic when I go which sucks to see because it’s a great place.
