My husband worked here (the Hispanic fella in the back aka the only employee that spoke English), and the new owner did him dirty. She took advantage of him since he was the only employee there that worked with the previous (better) owners & was the only one who spoke English. He knew how to run the place properly and knew all the recipes, so they heavily relied on him.
He was asked to work as a chef as well as train the new chef, and at times, work at the front of the restaurant. No one else there speaks English so it was a challenge for him to train the new guy properly, and I know customers suffered as well because of inadequate communication.
The new chef barely took notes or remembered recipes correctly, so if the food looks terrible (I’ve seen it and it does), blame the new chef and the owner for not bothering to adhere to my husband’s training or proper cooking technique. It’s a shame this place has gone to the dumps because it was beloved by many due to the previous owner’s hard work.
Instead of being thankful for his time there and for going above and beyond for a restaurant he loved, they lied about being closed so they could save money and not pay him for working. My husband has his own business and took time off from it to help these people and this is how they repay him.
He’s since left and the new owner didn’t even pay him entirely for his time.
They’re terrible people so skip to...

I came by a few times recently to order my usual two item, and the workers were different and the food honestly looks really bad. I couldn’t order I just left. I gave them a couple more chances but it was the same experience. The food did not look appetizing. Original comment below I've been going to this place since I was a little kid, and they've always been the best one. There's plenty of those same style Chinese places in riverside, but I feel like a lot of them are low quality. The orange chicken will be soggy, the noodles are super greasy, the teriyaki chicken is all fatty. This place has higher quality food. The orange chicken is more crispy, and the noodles aren't those weird orange ones. I try other spots, but I'm usually disappointed...
Read moreAs far as fast food goes, this is the best Chinese restaurant you can find in the area. The portions are generous, the food is very tasty and a good value. This place also offers hot pepper sauce with or without, which is good. They also offer other types of water with ice, I have heard that the wait staff may have a little difficulty with the language, but I don't think it is a problem because every time I come here, I am treated very well and respectfully. Of note, the food is served by a Chinese man, who I learned today, and it is awesome! I dare not go anywhere else because this place has always taken care of me. If you are wondering about the portion sizes, I am 6'8" and weigh 390 pounds, and today I finished half of my four meals and left, so they don't...
