The associates like Kim and another gentlemen ( tall, skinny, with blonde hair) at this Subway establishment DONT wash their hands. On one occasion the gentleman came from the back, put gloves on and proceeded to start my order. I then asked him to wash his hands. He then Santize his hands. I asked again. He then proceeded to say "You want me to wash my hands." I replied, "yes"... Not even a foot away, with a back turn, he washed his hands with SOAP and WATER. Moving forward to today. Kim, She did the same thing. Came from the back, ignored the sink, soap, and water that was a foot away, preceded to santized her hands and start my order. I asked her to was her hands, she replies that she santized her hands. I stated my concern to her about the pandemic, santation and CA Health Regulations. Her response was that she washed her hands in the back. I stated it would be appropriate if the customers could see employees wash their hands. She got offended and crossed her arms with her gloves touching her bare skin. Leaving I said I would leave a comment for corporate, explaining my experience. She stated she was the OWNER. I went to another Subway and they promptly washed and santized their hands without a request. Cleanliness and customer saftey should be 1 and shouldn't have to be a request or debated. Read moreBest experience at a subway since the one on the base in Coronado. I like many choose Italian herbs and cheese bread, the bread wasn't ready I did as anyone does, chose a different bread. The lady apologized many times for being out and I could tell her concern for not having what I needed was real. She had a genuine interest in my order and making sure it was right. I assured her it was not a problem, it happens many times at other locations.
"I make it a point to have everything made, I'm very sorry I don't have it." (Paraphrased). Again, I let her know, I was very appreciative with her customer care and knew that she would do anything (within reason) to make it right in the future. She offered something else at no cost. I'm not promoting freebies so I won't explain what it is.

This is the type of service that goes above and beyond what many would expect. Also asked my for a dollar inside store. He left returning couple minutes later smoking marijuana in the store. For my safety I told him he not suppose to be smoking in store. I did not want to breath his exhale of his smoke in a confined space for 1. 2. smoke out if his mouth and unknown person and unsafe. Before making last sandwich called the lot security. It took over 10 mn. I asked employee to stand at the entrance to watch while returning to my car for safty. As I drove off saw security walking around towards the Subway a little to late.
