My friend, who is from Asia, needed posterboard for his daughter's school science project. I found what he needed at the Magnolia Ave Riverside store website. When he entered the store (I was on a video call with him at this time), he met an employee and asked for help. The man told him, "go up front for help." My friend did, and then asked a female employee where he could find posterboard. She told him, "we don't have that." Odd, it's on your store website. I asked my friend to show the woman his phone so I could ask her. When he offered her his phone she pushed his hand away and said, "I don't want to be on camera." I then just asked her what aisle my friend can find oak tag and poster board. I said that the product is in the store and on the Staples' website. She replied, "he can call it in and pick it up in an hour." At this point, I had my friend walk around the store aisle-by-aisle to find the board. Fortunately, I saw a lady pass by him with posterboard in her hand. I told my friend to ask the woman where she found the board. Thankfully, the woman was very nice and walked my friend and his wife to the place where the poster board was located. I hardly ever make a review about customer service. But, witnessing this back-and-forth in real time spurred me on to write this. The 2 employees should be admonished/retrained. If I was the manager of this Staples I would be...
Read moreI had an emergency order go through to this store because the original order was not going to be delivered in time for my fathers funeral. I drove to this location to pick up that emergency order. When I got to the copy and print area, a tall blonde girl was working behind the counter. She did not greet us, say hello, ask us to wait a moment, or even ask how could she help us. We stood there and she finally came up to us and didn’t even ask how she could help us. She just stood there and I proceeded to tell her what I needed. I said I had an emergency order, she corrected me and called it a rush order. I explained what it was and she looked around and couldn’t find my order. I asked her if it could possibly be leaning against the wall, and she immediately told me no. She asked someone else for help and gave her the name which she repeatedly butchered. The person she asked for help grabbed the piece leaning against the wall. This was the most unprofessional, disappointing experience I’ve ever had at a Staples. I would have at the very least expected to be greeted, or asked to wait a moment. I would have at least expected my thought of it possibly being the one leaning against the wall to be considered. I’m just very disappointed with my experience, and I suggest your employees get some training on...
Read moreI arrived to staples here to submit some important documents through fax and as well help on how to use it. However, the young lady, who was working the counter, I asked her for help and her reply was to point me in the direction on where to fax my documents. However, i didn't know how to use one, so I asked for her assistance. But, instead she excuse herself and said that once I have my documents ready to let her know and that she would be more than happy to help and needed to attend another client, and sadly kept me waiting for nearly 20 minutes and when I asked that I am ready, She simply said, "Yeah...I'll be right there", and sadly nothing for she was busy taking phone call orders assuming that I wasn't there. Since I was almost running late for school I had to look this up on my own on how to work the fax machine on Youtube since I have no clue on how to use the fax machine, and when I finally got help online, the young lady from the counter finally had the audacity to help at least another client on how to use the fax machine and not realizing that I was there at all for help. So yeah, I'll go somewhere else that does give me a helpful hand on how to use the fax...
