I hate leaving a bad review because I love Beans and Brews, I usually go to a different location, but I get coffee probably five times a week. Yesterday though I ordered a plain, iced Oatmilk latte, I didn’t put the straw in it to drink it until I got home because I was carrying a lot of things and I thought it would less awkward to carry that way. I live 15 minutes away. When I took a sip it was full of chocolate, The bottom was covered in a thick layer of chocolate. I figured maybe they just gave me somebody else’s drink by mistake so I tried to call but nobody picked up the phone. An hour or two later I finally got a call through and somebody answered. They told me that they couldn’t remake my drink because more than 10 minutes had passed since I picked it up. I told them I could bring them the drink, it was still full and had ice in it, I had only had a sip. I don’t like sweet coffee so I didn’t drink it. They told me I would need a receipt and I explained that I didn’t get a receipt, I asked the barista to please tip herself and didn’t think I would need a receipt, but they should have record of my debit card payment and I could take a screenshot from my checking account to prove that I paid for it. They told me there was absolutely no way they could remake it, I would have to come back in person the following morning and talk to a manager. I live 15 minutes away, I asked if I could make a phone call because it seemed like a lot to ask to have me drive 15 minutes to the coffee shop and another 15 minutes home just to ask for a replacement or a refund, but they told me in all likelihood nobody would answer the phone. So I basically spent $8 including tip to receive a drink that wasn’t what I ordered, was not a kind of coffee I like and wouldn’t drink and then as the customer I was held responsible for that mistake because I couldn’t return with it within 10 minutes. I love beans, but this is unacceptable customer service. In the very rare cases I’ve gotten the wrong drink in the past the baristas have always been so amazing and willing to replace it no questions asked. In the future I will stick with the location close to my apartment, spending eight bucks on coffee just to pour it down the sink and have to go get coffee somewhere else...
Read moreI go to beans and brews very often during my lunches and after school. but have never had a bad experience there until today I visited at 11:15 on 2/10/16 I do not know the name of the girl who was working but she had a flower tattoo on her arm and she was such a brat to me and my friend we went through the drive and ordered one baby b which last time we went to beans and brews they gave us a regular mr. b with cinnoman which we thought was the actual drink so when we got handed a pink drink we were confused and tried to tell the girl it was wrong she said "well that's how I was taught to make it" so i said "the last we got it. it had cinnoman in it" so she asked if she wanted us to make that drink we said yes and she ripped the drink out of my hand but then gave us the right one. but she had forgettan our change (total= 4.58 gave her 4.75) when we asked for the change she said "it's just .15 cents" and pretty much through it at us and slammed the window. I will never be going to this beans and brews...
Read moreBeans and Brews is my favorite coffee!!! But I avoid this location. I have lived all over the Salt Lake valley, and never have had issues with B&B. The espresso shot always tastes burnt, and the coffee it always way too hot. The frozen coffee is never the right ratio. This is the slowest location out of any location I have ever been to. In my mind, coffee should be a fast, quick stop. DO NOT stop at this location if you do not have 20+ extra minutes to get to your destination. If there are 5 + cars in line, prepare for a 30+ minute wait. The beans and brews on 5089 W 12600 S is the absolute best in this area. I will drive 10 minutes out of my way to go to that location, because I will still get through the drive through faster than going to the one right by my house. There, the shots are never burnt, the coffee is the perfect temperature, and the line is blazing fast. This location could really use some training from the...
