So I went here with my brother Sam. First time hearing bout this place. We get in we get greeted Hello and when you walk in sign says sit where you like. We sat down they have a QR code on table that let's you look at menu and place order. I looked at menu there is a features part and man it looked good. The Bangkok Cheesesteak & Bangkok Chicken sandwich looked good. However I saw Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles) on menu. I asked our waitress bout them cause different restaurants/shops have there own style or method. She told me to try Drunken Noodles with beef. She said that it's her favorite and everyone is loving it. So I ordered Drunken Noodles with beef. We got some sides and the Moo Yang, Crispy Pork Spring Rolls and the Wing Zabb. OMG they were so good and delicious. I mean all the food we got was Delicious and so so Yummy. The food was served fast. The staff was great and friendly. We got asked if we wanted to order dessert. I was full but Mango Sticky Rice did seem good. However my brother ordered me the Thai Coconut Cake to take home cause we were full. I ate later as I was driving daughter to activity and WOW!!! I was glad my daughter doesn'tike Coconut cause I killed it all and it was so so good!!! I will visit Big Mango Bangkok Kitchen again cause it's so delicious and great staff and...
Read moreWe have been looking for a Thai restaurant to love in the area for a while now. This one finally checks all the boxes for amazing food. My wife and I ordered way too much food in order to try 4 or 5 things (it ended up being 8), and from the tom kha kai soup, to the spicy wontons, to the massaman, drunken noodles and katsu (yes, a Thai spin on the Japanese katsu), to the three desserts they offer. Everything we tried was fantastic!
The atmosphere and seating is casual, but the owner being there to take your order, make recommendations and take feedback made up for the lack of ambiance.
It’s clear this restaurant has a takeout first business model, and that’s totally fine by me as Thai food travels well. All our dishes came out in to-go containers and plastic cutlery, which I assume is to cut down on staffing/overhead. If that’s the trade-off for amazing, authentic food, then I’ll take it all day long.
We’ll probably order to-go more often than not, but with chilly weather setting in, I am excited to have found this place for great comfort food on...
Read moreMy husband and I met a couple friends here for dinner. It was so authentically delicious. We were pleasantly surprised with the delicate balance of modern and traditional flavors. They really have put an effort into keeping the richness of each dish and the depth of the flavor by including small but important ingredients. I could definitely pick out the flavors that are true to the Thai cuisine that no Thai restaurants that I have been to in Salt Lake valley include. It was the best Thai food we’ve had since visiting Thailand three years ago. The flavors were so spot on, it completely took me back to Bangkok. The portion sizes were great and the ratio of protein to carbs was perfect. It was well worth satisfying our curiosity to test it out. We will definitely be returning customers. Aside from how amazing the food was, the owners, Jeff and Nina, were so fun to talk to, so personable so genuine. They have started a great thing, I hope they have great success. Take chance and try Big Mango, you will not be...
