We arrive at 11:43 on 12/29/13 and as we walk up to the entrance take notice of how filthy the doors were (glass/handles). Step in to find it's actually warmer inside than outside and no one to greet you and no clear direction on how to get seated. Finally a not so cheerful employee ask if we have our name on the list, we respond no and she barks you need to get it on the list over there as she points.
Our name now on list we sit close to register to wait, see a sign that says if you use debit card you will be charged an extra 15/20%, not Denny's fault, rather the company they use! As we sit we start to see the dirt and grim on the counter and bottom edge of counter. Didn't look very clean and still extremely warm but figured it was due to us being right at entrance. We are seated in the middle of the dining area next to the window.
The table still had crumbs from the last guest, the window sill or windows hadn't been cleaned in months. While we wait for our food I take notice of how dirty the restaurant truly was with crumbs, used napkins, and small pieces of paper on the floor. So I watch as an employee buses a few tables. Now he was what I thought was the manager since he was seating people and coordinating things at the front.
So he removes the dishes, proceeds to wipe the table with a green/white towel, then wipes the seats with the same green/white towel, then the table again (a no no by health standards). It gets better, he drops it on the floor and then picks the towel up and goes on to clean yet two more tables never rinsing the towel. Of course do understand that all crumbs were going on the floor for the most part.
We ordered a pretty standard meal and receive banana french toast without bananas, cold eggs, under cooked bacon and slightly warm pancakes. We ask for a manager and Jack arrives at the table. We explain the issues and he stated they were out of bananas but what else could he get for us. Really Jack, that's the best you can do? We decided to go elsewhere, yet ended up coming home and making the meal we wanted.
This Denny's could really use a lesson in cleaning, the entire place is dirty or appears to be dirty, the ceiling tiles are various shades of colors and those around vent ducts had black spots. They need a new A/C unit, you are in Florida after-all. Denny's, spend the money to...

First, I’d like to express my gratitude that this restaurant was open on Christmas Day, December 25th, and for that reason, I’ve given it 2 stars instead of 1.
However, everything else was incredibly disappointing.
Our server was Sarah S. Initially, I asked her if they had bottled water. She lied and said they did, soon bringing me a glass of regular tap water. From the first sip, it was clear it was tap water. When I pointed out that I had specifically requested bottled water and this was tap water, she admitted that they didn’t have bottled water at all.
Second, I always order sizzling skillets and intended to do so this time as well. There was even a poster at the entrance advertising a new sizzling skillet dish. However, there were no skillet dishes listed on the menu. When I asked the server about these dishes, she started suggesting fried potatoes as a dish. I had to take her across the room to show her the poster of the dish I wanted. In the end, she told me they had a special holiday menu that day, which didn’t include any sizzling skillets. But later, she did bring me a menu with the skillet dishes, and I chose one.
When she brought it to me, it was clear it wasn’t prepared properly. The skillet didn’t have a protective sleeve, and I immediately noticed it was cold. The chicken pieces were tough and barely warm, heavily drenched in sauce to mask the poor quality.
We also ordered the 55+ Country-Fried Steak. Since we didn’t know what this dish was, we asked the server to explain it. She lied again, claiming it was a steak, just half the size of a regular one. That sounded fine, so we ordered it. It turned out to be a low-quality patty that had nothing to do with steak. It was 80% breadcrumbs with a faint hint of meat flavor. This deception was as appalling as the dish itself.
I am extremely disappointed with this treatment of loyal customers and would not recommend anyone visit this establishment—ever. They do not value their customers, they are insincere, and they are willing to deceive you in any way to get tips. This...
Read moreWow where do i begin? Upon entering, there was no one there to greet you and you have to find somebody to put your name on the list. Then you wait for 30 minutes. When they call your name it was so low (we were sitting inside) that you don't even know they called your name. The kid working who was seating people who came in after us, had an attitude and said he called our name. Well we were sitting right there and we didn't hear it. Finally, My mom and I get seated and order our food. It seemed so long the one waiter looked like he was super busy so we didn't want to bother him. However, we didn't realize that we were actually waiting 40 minutes for our food to come out. We asked the waiter because we were getting really impatient. The waiter realized, they had messed up our order and somebody else took our food I guess. I could here him yelling in the back. So when they put the order again and it came out only 5 minutes later. what a big difference. While this wasn't the waiters fault we don't think, he also sent over the manager when the food finally came out. The manager came over and offered my mom a coffee refill. Never telling us he was the manager and he would like to make it right or even ask us anything. So when the waiter came back we told him and he sent the manager back to our table and we basically had to confront the manager because he didn't say anything to us just looked at us. So I started telling him we were waiting for 40 minutes and I asked him that what he was going to do about it? he asked me, What should I do about it? I had no idea so I told him to comp me half the check since we waited for over 40 minutes and he took the check back and did that. The wait staff here was inefficient. I understand when others weren't on break and there were one or two that really had serious attitude problems. This manager has no idea how to run this place.
