Bobby's Hot & Cheesy — Restaurant in Roanoke

Used to be our go-to for pizza but the quality is slipping. It's become kind of unpredictable as to whether we will get a good pizza or a sad pizza. The last two we got barely had any cheese and were very tough. The time before that they were better, but not what they used to be. The sauce is great, the crust is usually really good, but lately they have been almost un-cheesed when we get them. I don't know if they are trying to save on costs by adding less cheese, but it's definitely not what you'd expect from a place with "cheesy" in the name. I WANT to love this place, I USED to love this place but for the price we are having to think twice about gambling on our Friday night pizza orders. Sometimes it's great, other times its really disappointing. If it were consistent we would order way more often.

EDIT: I just got another pizza from here and it is definitely the last time I'll waste money at Bobbys Burnt & Barely Cheesey. I don't know whats happened there but it is nothing like it was when they first opened. It used to be amazing. Our pizza was burnt, very tough, and had very little cheese. I started to ask for a refund as soon as I saw it but my son wanted to eat. At nearly $27.00 for one pizza this place is a complete rip off if this is what they are selling. I order for the family every other week for pizza night. In the past the food has mostly been good. A few times the dough was a little mushy. No problem i just put in the oven for a few minutes. Now my last order was last week and both large pies were really underdone. I mean grey mushy dough. I figured what happened as I called in an order and when my wife went to pick up 40 minutes later they were just begining to make it. So it was fogotten then rushed out of the oven. I am one who normally doesnt complain I just dont return. This time however, I called the manager. He was extremely apologetic and said he would remake. I said no need it was late and we didnt want to drive back there. He said no problem, he was going to reverse the charge on my card. Simple enough If you actually do it. Now based upon a managers lazieness and not following up on what they said they would do they have lost a regular customer who orders out 2 times a month at about 60-70 dollars each. Do that math. The pizza, atmosphere, and service here is phenomenal — it’s exactly the kind of joint that makes us sad we no longer live in Roanoke!

Our whole week in town, we kept hearing how much people adore the pizza here, and when we finally got to try it — well let’s just say, the hype is for a reason! Our host, who had already had pizza for lunch that day, said “Oh heck yeah, I’ll have pizza again. I never miss a chance to go to Bobby’s.” And we immediately understood why. Everything was awesome: Their crust is perfect, the topping options, the fun atmosphere, the beer — I mean somebody, somebody fan me please, I’m just gettin too worked up to even do this sentence. I wanna go back right now.

OHHH and pizza flights?! — you can order a flight of pizza?!? That is absolutely genius, and I am astounded that nobody else does this.

As if all that weren’t enough, Bubblecake, the best cupcakes in the valley, are literally connected from the inside.
