The Cardinal Cafe — Restaurant in Roanoke

Cardinal Bicycle Cafe is one of my favorite breakfast spots in Roanoke. The staff is always welcoming and kind, and the food is consistently excellent. My go-tos: the Brunch Burrito, House Waffles, and—hands down—the best Avocado Toast in the city. The house-made blueberry waffles are always a hit. And no, it is not a Waffle House—no scattered chaos here—but the menu is dialed in and genuinely great.

When I want something lighter, a Field Day smoothie is a solid choice—the Ekto Kooler is delicious and filling. It is also a great place to get work done: bar seating, tables, and a comfy couch make it easy to settle in. For lunch, the Cove wrap and the pastrami sandwich are both winners; the pastrami is on the heavier side, both made with local Yard Bull Meats....

The atmosphere is very friendly and inviting. The staff is very appreciative and makes one feel welcome for stopping by. Im a clean freak and all I can say the cafe is super clean. This is not a breakfast restaurant. This is very misleading their website says Cafe as soon as you show up it says bicycle on the building no sit-down breakfast food it's a small selection of coffee. Very misleading and very upset that we drove 15 minutes to enjoy breakfast with the family and kids to come to find out it's a bicycle...
