I had a terrible experience today, I ordered a few bagels over the phone and when I went to pick them up, I gave the cashier $20 bill (bill was in perfect condition) and she gave me the change back including a half ripped $5 bill and when I requested her to give me another one (which they had), while smiling with explanation that it will not last in my bag given itâs condition. she became all hostile on me and started saying, itâs okay, I will go to the bank and repeated this several times. At first, I wanted to ignore since there were other people in the line and why engage but it was loud enough for my little boy to hear as well and so I replied with saying, well, yes probably you should, I am not expecting anything that I shouldnât. If I am a paying customer, 1. I deserve to be treated with respect 2. I deserve to be given bills at least in somewhat normal condition. A lot of people these days donât keep cash expect for a few places and stores which are still cash only and thatâs probably means, I may not end up using it again so quickly and chances are it will be completely ruined. What a terrible experience. Even tough I liked their bagels, will not be...
Read moreWell, today was my last time going here. I called in an order and asked for my dry bagels to be sliced. I asked twice on the phone. Upon arrival, I was aggressively asked by a gentleman if I had cash while I was paying. I only had a card. This guy was annoyed and aggressive from the get-go. No greetings, no customer service skills. Just awful. When I got to my car, I inspected my bagels and discovered they were not sliced. No problem, I'll just go back in. So I go back in and politely ask for my bagels to be sliced, as I had requested on the phone. I was told there is a charge for that, but since I don't have cash, they would slice them. He hands me back the bag of bagels and says "next time I'm gonna charge ya". No thank you, nothing. He was angry the whole time and honestly, I should not have to feel anxious inside a bagel place. Learn to be better. I...

I don't carry cash typically. This place charges the 3% which is absolutely no problem with me. The problem I have is I get this woman behind the counter berating me about using a card for a $5 order. I practically get a lecture about how she pays her kids their allowance in cash. Listen if the business was eating the charge and I used my card I would understand. You are CHARGING ME THE 3% AND ARE COMPLAINING THAT I AM USING MY CARD! The bagel was nothing special, it was a decent egg bagel. Walking in to the store it was very bare bones and not much to it. For a small business just don't...
