Absolutely the Worst Experience I’ve Ever Had at Twin Peaks Robinson
My friends and I have been regulars at Twin Peaks Robinson for Thursday Night Football — especially when the Steelers play — and we’ve generally had decent experiences. But tonight was, without question, the worst service I’ve ever experienced at any restaurant or bar.
We arrived well before kickoff and were seated at 7:45 PM. Despite the place not being packed yet, we didn’t receive our first drinks until 8:35 PM — 20 minutes into the game. That’s nearly an hour of sitting with no drinks. We were given excuse after excuse — a “keg was empty,” “it’ll just be a minute,” “the bar is backed up” — but waiting over 40 minutes for a single round of drinks is completely unacceptable.
Things only went downhill from there. Our waitress seemed overwhelmed and offered very little explanation for the delays. Our food actually arrived before our beverages, which I’ve never seen happen in my life. When we asked to speak to a manager about the situation, no one ever came over, and we received no apology or compensation for what was clearly a complete service failure.
To make matters worse, we were seated in the garage/outdoor area, which was unbearably hot due to poor temperature control. It felt like a sauna. The TVs in our section weren’t even tuned to the game until almost halftime, and we sat through the first half listening to other noise instead of the broadcast.
It was also obvious that the restaurant was poorly managed overall. Every table around us was covered in empty mugs and glasses — no one seemed to be bussing tables. We had to repeatedly ask our waitress to clear our own just to have enough space to eat. She even told us she was afraid to have the manager speak with us because of how poorly he treats the staff — something no customer should ever have to hear or deal with.
Knowing this was a Steelers game night, you’d think Twin Peaks would be fully staffed and ready — but instead, it was chaos, mismanagement, and complete lack of customer care. After tonight, I don’t think I’ll ever be returning, and I’ll be telling everyone I know to avoid this location.
Twin Peaks Robinson seriously needs a management overhaul. No customer should ever wait nearly an hour for a beer, have food before drinks, and be ignored when...
Read moreYou're going out to eat. There's hundreds of options. Good food? Good atmosphere? Good service? If at any point you consider Twin Peaks then these qualities mean nothing to you. You want beer and eye candy. You know it, they know it, it's what they're there for.
Aestethically you can see what the chain is going for. Wood adorned every surface. Well, not really wood. Wood veneer and plastic with wood stickers. Despite the fake plastic it would've felt cozy if it wasn't for the cheap music pumped through the restaurant. That along with TVs that seemed to play ads 90% of the time.
In the whole time I spent in the restaurant the only real pair of tits I saw was on the man who seated us. The staff were practically non-existent. We were one of half a dozen tables in the restaurant and it took nearly 20 minutes for us to even be asked about what we wanted to drink. Our waitress looked like she was taken from a botox ad. She looked like a stick with cheap implants.
I wish I could have given our waitress a negative tip. We should have gotten money back for what we had to endure. She seated us in an empty corner of the place, right under a searing vent, and promptly forgot about us for most of the night. Actually she forgot about most of the tables it seems because she was too busy talking up some guy on the other side of the restaurant.
She got us our drinks(she never carded us) and she took another 5 minutes to get us some of the waters we wanted. She forgot about one of them and we had to wait another 10 minutes before she came back for us to ask for it. When she did come back she asked us if we had ordered food yet. Her one job. She forgot if she did it. I was absolutely stunned.
Once again. You don't go to this place for good service, you go for who does the service. Thus far most of our service was done by an overweight guy and a Mexican bus boy who offered us silverware after we were almost done with our food.
Anyway when we actually did order food it wasn't a long wait for it to get to our table. The quality and price of the food is likewise nothing to write home about. On par...
Read moreBeen here twice. First time was bad service and bad tasting beers (alot of out of stock ones as well), but food wasnt too bad so decided to give it another try. Waited at host stand for about 6 minutes to get greeted. Several staff memebers walked past, but didn't say anything. After being sat waited another 5 minutes for server to come over. We placed a drink order and waited another 15 minutes for what I think was a manager to come over and ask us if we'd been greeted yet. Then she went to the bar for our drinks only to tell me that they were out of stock on the item I ordered. A whiskey that I could see an open bottle of on the display at the bar. Not sure why she lied about it. I asked for water instead becauseat this point i didn't want to wait another 15 minutes to be told they were out of something else. Placed a food order of 3 items Server told us " its not busy so it should be out quick" before dissappearing.. she came back 30 minutes later and asked if we wanted our tacos out first. We placed the order for everything at the same time. Im not sure how after 30 minutes this would be a question being asked as apposed to the food being brought out. We told her we'll take it whenever it's ready. Then waited another 20 minutes for it to come out. Didn't have any silverware or napkins. Server went to get some. Came back without them and asked how everything was. I had to remind her that she was getting us the silverware so we could eat. Brisket in tacos was tough and had gristle. Potroast was full of fat, vegetables were cold. Poor server was clueless and there was no manager present to support or assist her. She was very nice, but lost. Lots of employees standing around and picking their shorts out of their butt then touching glasses and plates. There for 2 hours and won't be back. All around they need to rethink their service model. The signs someone typed up all over the building saying " Do not take pictures of the girls" is a huge red flag on how the staff is respected at this place. Get manager presence out on the floor to help and look out...
