AVOID. Under new management, this deli is underwhelming and downright crappy. Previously, while this was still owned by the good people now working at Ted's North in Paramus, I found this to be the model deli and sandwich shop. I'm no connoisseur of sandwiches, nor a sandwich-maker, but even I can notice when sliced roast turkey is not fresh, when it's ends are yellowed from the air and hardened from being improperly stored or old. The proportions of ingredients that I always found filling and fair are now totally weak and inadequate -- I've felt like I was eating more bread than anything else. And the ends of the hero were hard from being too old. I'm not a callous person, I've given this place, this poor-excuse for a Ted's several tries now. But I won't be going back again. Their staff are matter of fact, and would be forgettable if they weren't so damn unfriendly and unwelcoming. Either go to 7/11 a few stores down and get something to hold you over while you drive to Ted's North, or pony up an extra few bucks for the delicious sushi next door at Maguro (my favorite is their lunch special). At least going there you won't be hungry, or feel ripped off or disappointed. AVOID!
Addition: And as you can see by their reply, they aren't afraid to insult their customers...
Read moreThis place is getting 1 Star & 1 star ONLY BECAUSE of the lady who picked up the phone and decided to lack customer service etiquette. I placed an order for delivery to my job through a 3rd party delivery service in which states they deliver to. I notice an hour and a half passes and my food has still not arrived. I call the deli & inquire about my order. Her first initial response was “yeah i was going to cancel this order because we do not deliver this far especially on a friday since i only have 1 driver”. I repeat, again, i have ordered from them MULTIPLE times including on weekends & have never had to call to ask for the status of my delivery. I did let her know that i would be writing a review on this interaction & she just hung the phone up. Here is a tip from someone whos been in customer service for almost 10 years : “Hi i do wanted to apologize for the inconvenience I am aware of the lateness of the driver, he is on his way. I do want to let you know that we do not usually deliver this far on fridays due to our limited staff” ITS THAT SIMPLE TO BE NICE TO SOMEONE.
I have no complaints about the food what so ever , staff does need to be coached and trained on how to...
Read moreI’ll admit, I didn’t give this place the time of day for the longest time, despite it being right around the corner from my house. I had heard all the buzz, but I was so used to venturing into other towns for great food that I never thought to try it. Well, I finally gave it a chance, and let me just say—what a mistake it was to wait so long!
On my first visit, I ordered their hot roast beef and mozzarella sandwich with brown gravy. Wow. It was absolutely stunning—every bite packed with rich, savory flavor. It truly lived up to the hype and then some!
On my second visit, I decided to try the chicken cutlet parm sandwich. While it didn’t quite reach the same heights as that phenomenal roast beef, it was still very tasty and satisfying.
What really makes this deli special is its old-school charm. Walking in feels like stepping back in time, and the classic style and vibe are complemented perfectly by top-notch service.
I’m happy to say this place has officially become my go-to sandwich spot, and I couldn’t be more excited to keep exploring the menu. If you haven’t checked it out yet, don’t make the same mistake I...
