I met up with my BFF Patrice at “The Brunch Bar” for her Birthday. This was my first time, her second time at this New brunch, Spot. The Host said it was 20 minutes for a table, so I sat at the bar. My BFF doesn’t Like high tops so she asked for a table. The atmosphere was cool. The bar was busy, but we did get service after about 15 minutes. The two of us ordered our drinks and food. The table was ready at the same time our food was being brought out. We literally stepped down from the bar and sat at a table near nearby. The bartender said he would check us out, at that same time I thought we were checking in with another waiter or waitress. Our food was placed on the table, We ate and we talked and enjoyed each other time. After about 35-40 We both asked each other, “who is our waitress or waiter.”No one has serviced us for anything since we sat at the table. There was service happening All around us, just not at our table. My BFF was getting upset, to the point where she wanted to just walk out. Because we are too responsible women, we weren’t gonna do that. A young lady who appeared to be a host, was walking past and I was trying to get her attention, she was just in space and didn’t hear me. I finally got a servers attention to please get the manager for us. The bartender decided this was a great time to show up to our table with the bill 🤔, as if he was our server the whole time. After a short while she came back and said she couldn’t find the manager. This confirmed that I probably wouldn’t be back. However, Stacy, the manager showed up with a wonderful smile, and a welcoming ear. I told her what our experience was. Stacy was very very apologetic even offered to cut our $75 dollar bill in half. After further conversation, Stacy decided she would comp the whole bill if we promised to come back. I believe Stacy’s accommodation to our very absent services Is worth giving them another shot. Thank you, Stacy for doing the right thing. Hopefully all staff will learn from this, so no one else experiences this LOST IN TRANSLATION SERVICE.
{Let me be clear the food was good. This was simply a service...
Read moreI was really looking forward to trying this place for a first time, but was disappointed about a few things that happened during my visit at this establishment. Let’s start out with the good: I was impressed by the atmosphere…it’s was beautifully appointed. And, everything started out well. But, things quickly changed. As I sometimes do, I asked if I could order something from the kids menu as I can’t eat much due to bariatric surgery. Most restaurants are accommodating and I don’t have to pull out my medical card that explained my surgery, but not Brunch Bar. I was told by the waitress that she’d have to ask her manager. I had doubts that she actually did ask the manager, but lo and behold, she came back with a “no” answer. Whatever. Because I was with a friend, I decided to forego pulling out the medical card and making a big deal out of the situation because it’s embarrassing enough to have to ask to order a kids meal, let alone that request being rejected. But, what really rubbed me the wrong way was what happened after we ate. Without an apology and delivered rather stoically with a rude tone, our waitress asked us to leave citing their one and half hour “policy.” I’m sorry, but this is wholly inappropriate and rude. I’ve scoured the Brunch Bar website and nowhere is there a mention of seatings being limited to an hour and a half. Like me, my friend was taken aback. We both were appalled. Not really a way to make your paying customers feel welcome and thanked for their business. To be honest, my friend and I were wrapping things up anyhow…I find being booted in poor taste. Food was good, but not worth the poor customer service. Brunch Bar…I suggest you fix these things before you are yet another restaurant down the drain. And look, I get it. Being in the restaurant business is hard. But come on…what happened during our visit was...
