Dairy Queen — Restaurant in Rochester

This is a great "drop-in" spot for when that ice cream urge rears its head as your driving down broadway ave. They have ample seating at tables to the south of the store. The amount of parking isnt perfect, but you should be able to get a spot.

The product is excellent as always, when isnt ice cream awesome (well lets forget that one time you tried cotton candy coffee ice cream)

The problem came in with the staff. There were about 10 of use standing on the sidewalk, and no one seemed to know who had ordered and who had not, and NO ONE was at the window ready to take orders. Only when a gentleman banged on the order window did they pop their head into the window to help. This was probably a fluke, but shouldnt happen.

This location since it is on the east side of broadway ave can be a pain to leave from if you plan on heading south, first the idiots in this town have no idea how to properly program traffic lights, so their never seems to be break in cars from both sides. Just head north and find a better spot to get back headed south during the rush...

I would have given this place four stars, but when I ordered a Blizzard with chocolate ice cream (or whatever it is), Heath bar, strawberries, and raspberries and there was nothing but vanilla and huge chunks of Heath in it I could not have been more disappointed. Alas, I was incorrect. My Blizzard started to melt really fast and became ice cream soup, which was not what I ordered. It's a good thing or bad thing that they didn't do the classic "turn-the-blizzard-upside-down-to-show-you-it's-thickness" demonstration like they do at REAL...

Was on he way home from an appointment with my daughter and happened to notice they were opened. Since both of us had not been here in a long time we decided it was the perfect day to get some treats, The gentleman who took our order and made the treats (Strawberry Cheesecake blizzards) was super upbeat and helpful.
