STAY AWAY!!!! Save your time and your frustration by staying away from this store by all means. Rude and irresponsible managers. Bad customer service. They will ruin your celebration plan. – I ordered a Disney Frozen theme birthday cake for my daughter at the location on 12th Street SE by pointing at the picture on Dairy Queen catalog. A male manager took my order. When I picked up the cake the next day, a female staff brought out a purple and orange cake with a Frozen picture printed on the top. I asked her “I ordered a Frozen theme cake, with white and blue color. This cake has purple border, orange crossed lines like spider web, writing words in light pink. It is not a Disney Frozen cake. It looks like a Halloween cake.” The female staff said that because I did not specify white and blue color, so she can use any color. --- REALLY??? I pointed at the picture of a cake on the catalog. How much more do I need to specify? The catalog picture showed white background, and blue cake border. The female staff continued insisting that she was right, and did not suggest any solution to fix the problem. No apology. When I asked for the manager who took my ordered, she rudely snapped the catalog book at my face and said “I am a manager too.” The second manager came out and fixed nothing, no apology, no solution. They did not bother to care that my daughter’s birthday was ruined without a cake. Her birthday decoration was Frozen theme, and she would have a Halloween birthday cake in spring time. Moreover, since it is a COVID-19 birthday with no guess and no big party, the Disney Frozen cake was very important to her and they ruined it. It is ridiculous. Very bad customer service. Rude manager. Irresponsible managers. They kept insisting she was right. I eventually had to buy a new cake in white and blue at a...
Read moreI placed an ice cream cake order for my son’s birthday- as this is the type of cake he wanted. I wasn’t sure if the success, being done online. I really had my doubts, and it was for a 16th birthday. I didn’t want to mess this one up. I placed the order and it was very simple online. Lots of options to select, I wasn’t picky - just wanted it to be something a teen would like. The store has seasonal hours in minnesota during the winter. We are lucky they are open at all I suppose. Closed Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday. Currently only open starting at noon Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sundays. I picked up the cake at the time I reserved it for on a Friday afternoon. It was ready when I arrived. I paid abs was on my way. Cake was absolutely perfect. It made me so happy. They went above and beyond in my eyes to make it a special cake AND day for my son. It had a plastic pretend drivers license on the cake, he kept as a memory the “the most perfect day”. I’m so thankful for the hard work of the cake decorator. It truly was perfect & delicious too. It will be a special birthday we...
Read moreI’m taking time to leave a review not because of the food — Dairy Queen ice cream is predictably good! But because of the friendly service.
When I was driving home it hit me that I should have taken time to compliment the employee that helped me. I don’t know his name but the interaction brightened my evening yesterday as much as the banana split blizzard. I’m guessing that warm sunny days in April in MN means everyone talks about the weather while getting ice cream but he made it sound like the first conversation he had that day, and the warmth and laughter were genuine. I want to share how much this mattered to...
