MOKA — Restaurant in Rochester

Nice enough barista , considering I had a couple questions. Fast service. Ginger bread pastry was OK. Little dry. The problem was the coffee. I bought a house blend w/steamed oat milk, no sugar except whatever chocolate favor they could add. There is a flavor I cannot identify. I tried to convince myself that it is a spice of some sort that just accidentally got in there. Pumpkin… nutmeg maybe… But my brain won’t be convinced. It is too much like soap or perfume. Not sure if the last cleaning left a little soap residue or maybe there was some hand sanitizer or lotion on someone’s hands, but every sip has the flavor, so… Turns out I can’t finish it. Lilly is always very kind and always has a smile on her face. Her and Alexis are always in a great mood. They can carry a conversation while also getting my drink out quick! Never gotten a bad drink from one of them gals. Lilly gives me frooties even when I’m not getting a kids drink… BONUS! Except for the blue one “I know Alexis likes those” Moka always has some bangers playing over the speakers. The versatility of their playlist is unheard of. But it’s all kid friendly of course. I just waited in line for 5 minutes at the window. I get off work at 5:30 and they close at 6:00 so I rushed over. One of the employees saw me pull in and then saw me sit there by the window.
