Imperial Wok — Restaurant in Rochester

The only reason I gave this place 1 star was that it would not take the review without any stars. Worst Chinese food in town. I ate here several years ago when it first opened and was not impressed. I never went back until tonight. The place I wanted to go to was closed and I did not want to drive across town. I figured if the Imperial Wok was still in business they must have improved the food. NO WAY. I got the white meat chicken chow mein to go. It consisted of a few strips of white chicken, a ton of sliced Chinese cabbage, a couple pieces of onion and a ton chicken broth that was thickened to look like chunky snot. The Chinese cabbage and the little bit of onion were the ONLY vegetables in the entire dish. It was terrible. I have had the crap out of a can, and even that was better than this. I sure wish I would have taken a picture before tossing it out, so I could show you how disgusting this stuff was. NEVER AGAIN!! Added the next day.I have to add that I just got up at noon the next day as I was up all night with severe pain, diarrhea, and vomiting. Wonder where...

I used to be a regular customer. Sure the prices were a bit high but it's nice to have a Chinese food place that delivers. However after the call I JUST had, I won't be ordering from here again. After trying to use my card (which I have used there literally dozens of times in the past 2 years) was suspiciously "declined" the bumbling employee on the phone essentially told me that I needed to give him not only my card number again, but also my Drivers License number AND my signature as well, OR my card would be "locked out" (Not sketchy at all right?) when he finally handed the phone over to his manager and trying to explain the situation again, citing being uncomfortable about giving a CHINESE FOOD place all my personal info, she said quote "don't get salty with me." So sad to say you lost my business AND I now have to go to the bank because of your sketchy employees and their attitudes.... And way to scoff right in the phone when I said I was no longer...

This is my go to Door Dash delivery spot when I arrive in Rochester for appts. I typically order something different each time. But the regular egg rolls and the sugar donuts are always on the menu for us. This year though, the Egg Rolls are significantly smaller than before and their taste not quite the same. The mushroom chicken vegetables are wonderful. I ordered plain lo meun as a substitute for the fries rice. The noodles and and sauce are wonderful. My comment is that for some reason the whole meal tastes smokey...somewhere between liquid smoke and cigarette smoke. It was just a strange taste when I know how yummy this place is. I will give it a chance again next year as I love it is local family owned and they have been 110% perfection the...
