I’m a pretty patient and understanding guy, especially with the retail/restaurant industry, but this place was an ABSOLUTE DISASTER!! The store was filthy. The dining area garbage was overflowing 2ft high and wide (not exaggerating). The bathrooms were dirty, had garbage on the floor and in the sink, and the garbage cans overflowing. The dining area had dirty tables and floor, and the counters had food strewn about. All 4 of the lobby juice mixers were empty. The staff burrito building station was very dirty (only cleaned w/ a staff's swipe w/ the hand) and behind the counter was a food prep station piled high and wide w/ dirty/used food storage containers. They were out of chicken and lettuce (how?!). The staff appeared poorly trained and/or poorly motivated and/or literally "high" (at least 2 of them). They couldn't remember/track orders, there was minimal customer engagement, and they appeared disinterested in the feedback about the store (2 looked at the dining area garbage - neither did anything, but continued to casually chat w/ colleagues). The checkout guy didn't talk, and didn't tell us why the credit machine wasn't working (but was talking to a coworker)…. Then after swiping card again and crumpling up the receipt, he turned to talk to coworkers w/o any words to us. I had to grab a bag/napkins and bag up my own order. During the checkout process it suddenly smelled like "weed" - it was a female staff coming back from outside. The restaurant was NOT busy (3 people sitting in lobby, 4 of us plus 4 others in line, 2 GrubHub persons waiting, 1-2 cars in drive through). The restaurant did NOT appear understaffed (there was at least 5-6 staff working). The work culture appeared to have minimal ability, nor care, nor concern for the customer experience. Again: a DISASTER (almost on a comical level)! Based on my experience, and the similar experiences of fellow Google reviewers, I’m going to say that this is a horribly run and managed restaurant! Bright spot: the food was good (of the ingredients they DID have)!
Update: Yes, Chipotle Quality Control responders, I HAVE submitted feedback through the Chipotle site. Now the question is: what are you going to do about all this feedback you are getting? (By all the ongoing negative reviews… it...
Read moreWow. After moving to Southern, MN from Minneapolis I hadn't had Chipotle for a while. A friend and I decided to stop in. The place was a MESS when we walked in. There were about 6 people in line. Three people running the line, and about 6 people chatting and bs'ing in back. Nearly everything everything was out in the bins. We watched the employees dump remnants of the empty containers into the new containers that were being brought out. About 8 containers in all. Not real appealing. One fella in the food area had a blue plastic suit and face mask on like he was going into surgery, but it didn't appear as though he was actual cooking food back there. The tall scruffy fella seemed more involved in looking cool than doing his job. We watched him rip three shells trying to re-wrap one burrito. Ten minutes later (there were two people in front of me), after they actually had all the bins filled again, it was my turn to watch him rip my shell. I didn't even bother having him try to re-wrap mine. Out of all the people there, two people on the line actually appeared to care about their job. The person that I assume was the 'Manager', also tried to front us some cards to apply online for jobs. Which is ironic, because they were probably finding replacements for themselves. One fella did attempt to clean. Wiping everything from the tables to the floor with a dirty rag. Then sweeping the food and mess into a pile right next to the heaping garbage can. All in all the food was OK. Cold because everything sat while we waited. The line was empty as we left, and most of the employees were just 'hanging out'. I will choose to avoid this location...
Read moreI love Chipotle, but after my recent experience with them at this location, I will defiantly have to rethink that relationship. I question the relationship overall and don’t just say well I just will never come back to this location, because when I tried to report my food safety concerns to their corporate office it became a frustrating 45 minutes of dealing with a computer automated texting program as their “customer service.” I’m not sure that I would call talking to a computer or possible people that are clueless or just don’t want to help as customer service. I attached a few screen shoots on that nightmare. So I decided I would just report them to the county for possible food safety violations, since they didn’t want me to try and give them the feedback directly. This location as you can see from the pictures, was so grows as far as the food prep area and the dining area. In one picture the gloves you see next to the trash on top of a table was left there by an employee who was on brake… and no he didn’t come back to clean it up… he went back to work. So clearly no pride in their store and that showed in the service we received too. The employees where more interested in talking to each other, rather than providing customer service and having a clean store. Meat was falling in to the vegies and rice, so if you are vegan… look out!!! The non-soda dispensers where empty and tables had not been cleaned in who knows how long. So it doesn’t surprise me that one of us got sick possible from this place. I’d save yourself some stress and possible sickness and...
