A nice little hole-in-the-wall pub. I go there almost every Thursday as they tend to have promotional deals for that night to encourage business. Vendors will come in and offer free pints of their particular microbrew, and I've even seen cigars and liquors promoted by visiting reps. Plus there is live music, and it's usually very good music.
For this reason, Thursdays can actually be even more lively than Fridays!
They change out their 12 taps so often that I can't keep up with it, and it's all good stuff - microbrews, one-offs or specialty brews from Smuttynose, etc. You won't find Bud/Miller/Coors on tap here - be warned. They do have them in bottle, but you will have to twist arms to get it.
They don't have a fryalator, so no fries, but they do an amazing job with the little kitchen they have - burritos, quesadillas, burgers. Just pubby food, but always very good. If you're a carnivore, try their "Taste of the Garage" - it's a heart attack looking for a place to set up house.
Very friendly, beer-knowledgeable wait staff. Give them a try - you...
Read moreGreat outdoor set up and great music. Would’ve been higher except for an incident at the end of the night when my husband was closing out my tab. When he was returning to the table one of the bartenders followed him to our table and asked if the tip was correct! I could understand if the writing was illegible or if he didn’t write a total but this is beyond inappropriate and unprofessional to follow someone to their table to clarify if we gave them enough money. We are frequent visitors and actually family members of the band that played tonight and unfortunately after tonight’s dealings, we will not...
Read moreThe noise pollution is bad. I live well over 1/4 mile away as the crow flies, and the live music is super clear. Even when I shut the windows in my house to try to block it out, the music is still pretty clear. It’d be one thing if it was an occasional occurrence, but it feels like it’s every single weekend until 10pm (or later). The blaring music prevents me from feeling like I can sit in peace in my backyard in my residential neighborhood several streets away. I could be wrong, but it seems like they are violating the noise ordinance (unless they have a special exemption from the ZBA). I know they want to make money, but it just feels like a lack of consideration for the community...
