I was excited to see a Chipotle come to my community, but tonight was my first and last visit. First, it’s not easy to enter, exit, or park. When I got inside I noticed a line which is typical for other Chipotle restaurants. However, this experience was like no other. There is no chicken for the dinner crowd (6:15 p.m.). Okay, I’ll take a quesadilla. No, apparently only people who order online can get those, so I left. I called to give a suggestion that they post a sign to let potential customers know that they have no chicken and they don’t accept walk-in quesadilla orders so that others like me (hard working people just hoping for a good meal after a long day) are not inconvenienced by navigating the parking lot, waiting in line, only to be told they can’t serve them chicken or quesadillas. However, the customer service rep had a difficult time following my comments as she kept asking me to repeat basic words like “Cherry Road” and “South Carolina.” I told her I wanted to speak with someone at this restaurant, and she told me to call back and let the automated system know to transfer me to the restaurant. However…you know where I’m going with this…their automated phone system refuses to let people speak to anyone at this restaurant because all team members are too busy, so I’m not sure why she told me that. Obviously, it was a disappointment and a complete waste of my time for even trying to eat there tonight or call with feedback. Good news is that I had a delicious meal served by friendly people down the road at Salsarita’s and I now know what to expect from...

We visited on a Sunday at 12:15. 6 people in the restaurant (should have been a hint). I saw 6 staff members. Good ratio, right?
Every table top was filthy. Drink service area filthy. No iced tea had been made. Tops of iced tea containers askew with trash inside.
We ordered bowls. Server put white rice in mine, I haas asked for brown. She simply dumped it back into server. A no no. Piled the food so high it toppled onto counter. He scraped it off (somewhat) with a napkin, and unceremoniously plopped more guac on top of the by-now-unappetizing pile. Absolutely no concern for cleanliness, health issues, or aesthetics. Gross.
Our options were severely limited. They were out of: steak, pork, carnitas, and running low on chicken and veggies. (But the serving containers were still in the hot rack, sloppy and dripping, seemingly an announcement that “you ought to pick something else, we don’t care”). I said I’d wait for steak. She said “it’ll be 15 min wait.” And then simply stared at us.. Then she hollered at cook, whose response showed no urgency or concern, but was nonchalant at best.
Absolutely no one on serving team was happy, joyful, or even moderately customer oriented. All seemed grumpy, some actually angry.
BOTTOM LINE: go somewhere else. If they’re still open tomorrow, it is likely they won’t...
Read moreThe key to any good restaurant is consistency... Knowing what you'll get and how you'll be treated. I have to hand it to Chick Fil'a, they have that down. But we're here to talk about Chipotle in Rock Hill, who are consistently tarnishing the good reputation of Chipotle.
It seems to me that Rock Hill and Fort Mill Chipotles are in a neck and neck race to see who can be more disappointing.
We are frequent customers and really, shame on us for having the thought... "It can't possibly be wrong or bad again!?!".
As others have stated, do not expect your remote mobile order to be correct in almost any manner. You'll get stuff in your order you didn't want, and you'll not get stuff you did want. Sometimes, some of your order will be someone else's.
The reviews about the tiny burritos? 100% accurate.
The review about the salad that looked like some sloppy mess of something else, true.
Ask for EZ Sour Cream? That is code for double extra sour cream.
Order a couple bags of chips? You're right, my tubby butt didn't need them anyway.
A new Chipotle is under construction in town. Fingers crossed.
