Usually pretty nice employees until tonight, left my purse under the table and within ten minutes of leaving, came back for it. The person on the phone didn’t say I couldn’t get my purse she told me they had it and said ok when I said I was a few minutes away. I get there and they refuse to give me my belongings. I ask if I can speak to someone so they can explain why no one will give me my purse and she just says it’s policy and walks away smirking. No explanation no nothing so I’m sitting there wondering why they are holding my belongings hostage. Then I hear laughing and then one of them say they don’t give a shit. Finally someone else says they can bring it out when they finish cleaning. I’ve worked late shifts in the food industry, I understand they closed and that they have a locked door policy, but they could have said something on the phone or just had the manager walk it out to me, and that’s pretty horrible to sit there and laugh and make nasty comments, when they are the ones holding my belongings hostage. For all I know one of those employees was taking down my card information and that’s why they refused to give my purse back. I should have called the cops and made sure that wasn’t the case because that was very suspicious to keep someone’s purse with all of their cards and ID and act the way they did. For the pure fact of this suspicious behavior I’m going to have to cancel and order all new cards with new numbers because there was never a good enough reason given that my belongings couldn’t be brought to me. I wasn’t asking to come inside, just wanted my purse back. A manager easily could have walked it out the same way someone walked out with it after they finished cleaning. Not right to do that to someone. I made a mistake leaving my purse that doesn’t give you the right to keep hold of it like that and treat someone like that. Will never return to this location any time soon, and will be investigating to make sure no one stole my information during this ordeal, clearly management doesn’t care anyway. Food wasn’t worth...
Read moreI came to the restaurant to sit with the family for my little cousins 2024 graduation. I came very late because I was out getting gifts. When I came in I asked the cashier if I can speak with a manager because I was bringing gifts and I was not going to eat. The manager said if I occupy a seat to go sit with the family I would need to pay for a buffet because I’m occupying a seat. I told him there was an extra seat at the table with the family that no other guest was going to sit at. He said I still need to pay the buffet fee which I did which came to be $17 because I asked for water because I was not going to eat nor drink. When I walked to the back the family were almost done eating so I gave my gifts and went back up to the front and asked for a refund because I was not going to stay for the five minutes left that the family was there. The manager then said he wanted to avoid trying to give me a refund. He said that I could take a to go box when the family leave because I did not eat. I said fine instead of the refund I will take a to go box. He gives me the box and I literally put a simple meal onto the tray, went to the front, the cashier put it in a bag and I was about to leave. The manager comes over at this time takes the food out of the bag picks it up with his hand trying to weigh it in his hands, he says it feels a little too heavy so he put it on the scale, it came to 155 I believe. He ring it up to which the total came out to be $14 and some change. He thought that I was trying to steal extra food from the restaurant and overload a plate well over $17. The look on his face when the total came to $14 was embarrassing. He tried to make a joke about it saying get you something to drink or put more food on your plate I want you to be happy. I told him no I was fine and you have a good day. He was very persistent about me putting more food on my plate because he felt really embarrassed that he thought I was trying to take extra food out of the restaurant. He should have just gave me my refund when I asked for it, he was...
Read moreAfter assisting my daughter with college move out, my family decided to eat dinner at Golden Corral–loacted on 2370 Cherry Rd, Rock Hill SC– we had a decent time. For the week Golden Corral lunch price is $12.49 (Monday through Thursday) and $14.48 (Friday through Sunday). The restaurant offers a wide range of tables/booths and the parking lot is extremely spacious with more than enough spots. My favorite part about Golden Corral is the restaurant's variety, there's something for all ages to eat. The restaurant offers a salad bar, fruit bar, sides (ranging from vegetables to finger foods for the little ones, and main courses (beef stew, steak, meatloaf, shrimp, etc.), and a dessert bar (cakes, ice cream, and two sugar free desserts). In my opinion the food was hot and fresh, but I wish they would have refilled the food bar more frequently. Although the restaurant was not busy, it seemed like the food bar never got refilled during our visits, especially the ice cream bar. The ice cream area topping was empty or there was hardly any topping left in the containers. The staff were kind and friendly, but the restaurant was extremely under staffed, resulting in plates piling up on unattended tables. In addition, our waitress did not introduce themself right away. It took about 10 to 15 minutes after we sat down, but they were kind and attentive once they came to the table. The restaurant was clean, but the bathroom cleanness needed some attention, the soap dispensers were not working properly and there was a decent amount of toilet paper scattered on the floor. Although the restaurant was understaffed and the food bar was hardly refilled, I had a wonderful time with my family. The next time I am in the Rock Hill area visiting my daughter, we will most likely have lunch/dinner at Golden Corral 2370 Cherry Rd...
