Outback Steakhouse — Restaurant in Rock Hill

9 of us arrived to enjoy a birthday dinner. We called ahead for 7:30 seating. Surprisingly, it was not extremely busy on a Friday night. We sat down to a table with no silverware, and ordered appetizers and our drinks. Our appetizers made it, but still no silverware. After asking for the second time, and still receiving no silverware, we went to the front where they gave us 6 sets of silverware (yes, for 9 people) and said they would bring the others when they were done washing dishes. (yes, at a restaurant) We ordered our food, most of it arrived, some did not. We had to continually ask for the rest of our food all the while our server saying "oh, I forgot". We never did receive the rest of our silverware so we had to ration forks. Our food was delivered in parts and pieces, and at a very slow pace. We did speak with our server while ordering drinks, and asked for the traditional birthday singing, and he assured us it would be spectacular. We brought in our own cake, and they took the cake to the back to be delivered with the singing servers. After our appetizers the plates were not cleared, after our salads, the plates were not cleared, after our meal, the plates were not cleared. We still don't have enough forks, but we sure received our bill IN RECORD TIME, without being asked if we want dessert, no memory about our birthday celebration, no cake, no singing servers. We had to track down the cake, finally did, still no forks, but we do get plates to add to the tower of dirty dishes still sitting on our table. But it certainly was nice of every server in the restaurant to sing to the party of 2 seated next to us. It would have been nice if our server would have at least ONE TIME acknowledged ALL of the issues, and maybe even apologized one time. But that is not the case. OK so where do I start that's the question? Only my 2nd appearance at this outback and will be my last for a very long time! It all seemed normal at first waitress took out drink orders and app at the same time thought hum? Guess all going to be OK salads came and disaster strikes my side salad tasted like it had egg juice dripped over it with hardly any dressing I do believe the cherry tomatoes were on the verge of going bad then here comes the burnt to a crisp onion I can make blooming onions damn good OK back on track now well after that all down hill the server couldn't remember anything just really needs to be retrained the right way drinks stayed empty never brought steak sauce told us there were out of bread when I watched her and other server's bring more out ok now I've been waiting for 30min got my midwell steak rare wife likes hers burnt well it was on the outside inside was red now after my 2nd steak witch was OK and the 2nd onion witch was better and my glass that stayed empty the whole time we have to ask for our cheese cake after she did remember to bring me my bill witch at that time I was about ready to refuse to pay it was absolutely ridiculous a complete horror show!!!!! It was not just the server the kitchen really sucked to I've been cooking for 30 years plus you need to hire people that can cook or replace your management so yeah I'm not happy and hope I don't wind up sick just saying it was about as bad as it could have been the table next to us got it even worse we chatted as me and wife as yeah they said it sucked to we really deserve and apology and an explanation. Just O.K. Way too expensive for the service we received! Dirty plates remained on the table until the end of our meal (my biggest pet peeve when eating out) so I couldn't enjoy! We didn't receive silverware until after the bread and appetizers were gone and that is only because I asked someone when the salads arrived. Waitress no where to be found! When my wife's drink was empty no one brought her another for quite some time (a $7 cocktail that was 95% ice with three sips of drink!) $150 meal for 3 is Outrageous! The timing of the meal could have been better planned... We waited for more than 30 minutes between salads and entrees, with several empty tables in the restaurant (as empty as my wife's glass - minus the ice and fruit). But, the Bread, the appetizers and salads we're all on the table at the same time mind you, with empty drinks! (Not well thought out!) Our Steaks were RAW! and bloody! when we ordered them Medium-Well. Had to take them home to cook them thoroughly. Very Disappointed! They've apparently changed the amount of visits from 3 to 4 in order to receive discount. I feel they need to offer a larger discount for married couples since they share the same rewards account & pay twice as much... $400 -$20 isn't that great a deal! Especially when 2 of 3 visits have been dreadful! One trip the waitress got an attitude when I informed her that our steaks were either very over-cooked or raw... So, we've learned to keep our mouths shut! She didn't offer to take them back to correct the issue, just let us know that she didn't cook them, therefore it's not her problem!
