Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Rockaway Township

Let me first state I love Popeyes and this review is based on the people and service.

Been going here for years and never really had any complaints. Its been since the pandemic that the service has gotten so bad that Ill probably avoid it and go to the other Popeyes on 46. The staff is rude, talks about the customers in Spanish. I waited 20 minutes for my 2 simple chicken combos, yet they continued to give out orders, to what I suspect were friends or family, before me, even when my order was placed before theirs. When I asked where my order was and that Ive been waiting awhile, I got a very rude and snotty response, followed by them turning to a co worker and saying an insulting slur in spanish.

When I finally got my order it was cold, as I observed it was on the counter for some time, and not correct; missing biscuits. Due to my anger I avoided confrontation as I would have likely ended up in handcuffs.

This place is run by young adults, kids, and the management doe not hold the workers accountable. I watched as one of the staff knocked over a stack of cup lids, causing some to fall on the floor. She simply picked them up off the floor and returned them to the stack. It was obvious the entire staff was unorganized and clueless with no true leadership as the young manager just stood there as if everything was ok. My next response is to corporate headquarters, however, I dont suspect anything...

The staff consists of employees that are incredibly rude, takes their sweet ass time and makes fun of/ laughs at customers right in front of them. The only respectful worker in the staff that I’ve noticed is great at their job is who I assume is the manager. I just went to pick up an online order and waited by the counter , making eye contact and trying to get their attention . There were 3 employees standing there looking at their phones and laughing at something they were watching while me and another man were waiting to be served. For context , I’m a mall employee who wears a name tag and apron for uniform. For any food court employee who is reading these reviews: if you see someone who is wearing a name tag/apron/uniform/obviously a mall employee trying to order food, they are on break/taking time from their shift to grab food. Meaning they need to be out of there and back in their place of work ASAP. I don’t appreciate spending my break waiting in line or waiting for an employee to want to serve...

First time ordering from Popeye's. Alway's heard it's better than KFC! So I thought I'd try it because I always liked KFC. And I am sorry I did. The worst fried chicken I ever had. If it can be called chicken. Dry like cardboard and no flavor at all. They offer all different kinds of dips and now I know why. For flavor. Better than KFC?? KFC blows Popeye's out of the water. And I ordered a regular mac n cheese, because I heard it was so good, and I could not believe what I got. A very tiny cup with maybe two table spoons of what didn't even look like mac n cheese.
