Our visit to Eggsclusive Cafe on Sunday December 16, 2018 was one of several we have taken in the years the restaurant has been open. The service is quite good with the servers very prompt and others serving coffee regularly throughout the meal. I had ordered the Mediterranean omelet with pancakes. It came with potatoes which were cooked very well with crunch on outside and fluffy inside. The pancakes were dense and very tasty. My omelet however, was fairly disappointing. It comes with feta chees, five eggs, tomatoes, spinach and onions. First off, the eggs in the omelet were cooked perfectly. But from there, the ingredients lacked flavor and the texture was raw tasting. The tomatoes must be hydroponic as they were anemic and tasteless. If they used homegrown tomatoes that were ripened a deep red, the taste would have accentuated the name. My onions were pretty raw and needed to be either sautéed or carmelized to add depth and flavor. If they were to change those items and and a more flavorful feta cheese, this dish would be a great hit. From the photos you can see the lack of color and zing to the dish. Overall though, even being that it is very loud due to the open ceiling, Eggsclusive is a...
Read moreWay, way overpriced. I wouldn't even pay their prices for exceptional food, and their food is just okay. I had a skillet and the potatoes were dry and didn't have much flavor, the eggs were very Bland, and the pancakes were dry and dense to the point of being difficult to swallow. My boyfriend got the big potato skillet and his potatoes were the same way, and a good portion of the toppings was green onion and it was way too much because it was pretty much all he could taste. When he was done there was a big pile of green onion that he picked out cuz it was just too much, and he loves green onion. I was going to get orange juice but it was $6 for about a 12 oz glass. The inside was loud and echoey. They need to add some Greenery inside to cut down on the echo. There was really no decor to speak of considering how expensive the place is. There needs to be someday court at it to make it inviting to people. The only good thing that I can really say about the place is our waiter was very nice, and he did take my Skillet off. However, had he not done that, we would have ended up paying over $50 for two skillets and two sodas....
Read moreAt first glance I was taken back a little by the prices on the menu. When I saw the portions coming out of the kitchen I was little more at ease... until we got the bill. With tax and tip $86 for breakfast for 4, well actually 3, as two of our party split a breakfast. The food was good, probably top 20% of breakfast spots in the area. The Service was marginal at best. And the atmosphere is what you might expect from a family style brunch spot. The issue I have and what might keep me from coming back is how they nickel and dime you. $2 fee to split a meal, $5 to add less than a serving of chicken to an omelette, and $4 for a fruit cup instead of hash browns. Just like that a $17 omelette becomes $28. Nothing on the menu is worth $28 for breakfast. Every little change to an order becomes a fee. $1 to change toast type. $6 for a glass of orange juice and $4 for a cup of black coffee. I firmly believe a nice meal out is worth the money. $86 for 3 meals is steep. I would expect the entire level of dining to bump up at that price point. Carry out was busy this Sunday morning, hopefully they don't upcharge...
