Ruby Thai Kitchen Cherryvale — Restaurant in Rockford Township

Let's be honest. This is in no way Thai food. Its like the typical mall Chinese American food. Some malls call it "cajun," others call it "Chinese". Just bc you put "Thai" in front of some dish doesnt make it Thai. The Kobe's Japanese food next door is a bigger joke. This is why some of our American neighbors are so culturally inept. They eat Chinese American food and think that is Japanese, Thai, or even Chinese. I was excited that maybe they might have the flavors I expect from Thai food but it was a bust. Really? Thai Lo Mein? So if I say Chinese Cheeseburger, that make it Chinese food? I at least expected Pad Thai. Where is the curry? They are the most basic Thai dishes u would expect at a place called Thai Kitchen. Also, the mustard chicken is the bourbon chicken with mustard on it. How lazy is that? I give this place a 2 bc the food is at least edible and is what u expect from a food court in a mall. However, if u are looking for Thai food, this isnt the place to get anything even remotely resembling Thai food. The other reviewers that are giving this place 5 stars have to get out more. If this is a 5 star restaurant the places I have had Thai food are Michelin star...

Absolutely amazing Thai food. It's not the most expensive or classy by any means considering it's in the mall and it shows based on their limited menu options, but each meal is bursting with flavor. If you like spicy you will love their menu. I've never gotten sick from here like the other reviewers said on here. I think they just don't know what Thai food and they assume it's like Chinese so they get mad when it's not. Also everytkm I'm in there, the lines are packed in the Thai Kitchen while all the other restaurants are empty. This just goes to show how popular the Thai...

Best Thai food I've ever had I stopped there every time I go to the mall to go shopping where even if I'm just stopping into pay the bills, Ruby is a wonderful woman has great spirits always and high spirits always with a smile on her face and ready to make sure you're walk away happy if you're not happy she is always ready to fix whatever maybe the problem great place can't wait for her to open up one outside of the mall so I can have it even after the mall's close lol Thanks for the wonderful...
