I am so disappointed and heartbroken. My husband and I picked out my engagement ring and wedding band 3 years ago at Rogers & Hollands Jewelers, and we have regretted that decision ever since. After giving this company thousands of dollars for both of our rings, we expected high quality jewelry that would last a lifetime, but instead, here we are 3 years later having to buy a different ring because mine couldn’t withstand simple every day wear. I can’t even begin to count the amount of stones that have fallen out, or how many times the prongs have completely snapped off. And don’t even get me started on the weld cracking, causing the ENTIRE band to break in half.
Now, fortunately we had purchased the lifetime warranty, so we didn’t pay for any of the repairs, but throughout the years (even with being extremely careful while wearing the ring), I legitimately spent more time NOT wearing it than wearing it. It took 4-6 weeks each time we had to return it, which was at least 6 to 7 times. I’ve even had the ring break ONE day after we got it back from being repaired.
Rogers and Hollands offered to buy it back (how sweet 🙄), but we declined. This is the ring of my dreams. I knew it was the one I wanted from the moment I laid eyes on it. My husband proposed to me with it, I was married with it, and it holds so much sentimental value to me. I couldn’t stand the thought of never having it or seeing it again. But apparently once they offer a buy back, the repairs aren’t free anymore. So today when we went to pick it up for the last time, instead of apologizing or trying to make it right, they charged us $120 to “fix” the prong that broke. They had given us a $100 certificate in the past for our troubles, but wouldn’t even except it to fund the repair. And the best part? The prong wasn’t even fixed properly. So long story short, I sadly can no longer wear my ring for fear of it breaking again, but at least I still have it.
Anyways, I apologize for the long rant, but I wanted to share our experience with that place to save anyone else the heartache. Don’t waste your time or money. Simply read their other reviews on Facebook, and you will find just how common of an issue this is.

Cliffs Notes: Every husband should buy their engagement rings from Rogers and Hollands. Every anniversary could be an upgrade 🤯!
The Real Story: Sue and Riley are absolutely amazing 👏🏾! How could you ever be upset at having a jeweler!!!
Imagine walking🚶♂️through the mall 🏬 and every time your wife walks past Rogers and Hollands, she thinks her ring 💍 shrunk.🤏🏼.
Every single time, I let my wife know that she should water 🚿 the rock 🪨 that she already has.
So the next time we walked past the store, she decided to have Sue help her water her 2ct diamond. Sue hit me with a special technique taught to her by a shaolin monk. I've never seen a sales move ao powerful in my life.
Sue showed me how the purchase of an upgrade ⬆️ to my wifes current ring would be cheaper than I thought! It was definitely worth the money 💰! So I moved her up for our 15-year anniversary 🎉!
Then we happened to walk past the store again. You guessed it! The damn ring 💍 shrunk AGAIN! I wasn't falling for any more Jedi mind tricks from Sue and her specially trained diamond dealing associates, but then we met Riley.
The force was strong with this one. He asked if we needed our rings cleaned. While we were waiting, it just so happens a 🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕 ring would look gorgeous on my wifes hand 🤚! I looked 👀 around and ran 🏃♂️💨 for my financial life! Problem is . . . I forgot to grab her 🤦🏾!
My wife walked out of the store, and the next few nights were sleepless for her. Tossing and turning thinking about this ring 💍. I slept fine, though, lol 😴 .
2 weeks passed, and I thought we had moved beyond this thought of an upgrade. . .
WRONG ❌️
Sue and Riley had the audacity to combine their elite powers and got a 🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕🛋💎 (7ct. Cushion diamond) in the dang store! Just so they could let her see it!
They made the upgrade price 💲 so favorable. She's getting another ring. 2 4 7. Not too bad!
I actually love my jeweler because I never walk out of the store feeling like I lost. Kudos 👏🏾 to the Rockford store, and I appreciate you making an effort to present options without being pushy. That is an art 🎨!
10 STARS 🌟...
Read moreI would leave ZERO stars if possible. We purchased my engagement ring and both our wedding bands here. During routine repairs, they ruined BOTH my engagement ring AND my wedding band beyond reasonable repair. They replaced the custom wedding band free of charge. The engagement ring still has clamp marks all over the sides from the jeweler shoving the shared prongs together after repairs. There are globs of gold on top of the half eternity diamonds. At some point during our repairs, the ring was sized up without us asking, further destroying the integrity of the ring. It was sized up to a 10. The ring is no long as thick as it should be. The ring has been bent to an oblong shape by them as opposed to a ring shape. They refuse to fix anything but a couple tiny globs of gold. They refuse to acknowledge they did anything wrong. They won't help us at all despite our purchase of lifetime repairs. I recommend avoiding all diamond purchases with them. Before the ring was destroyed beyond repair, it had been in the shop with them every other month since my engagement. They had the ring with them more than I had it over a 2 year period. The same diamonds on the side would come loose and fall out. We had diamonds be replaced and set SIDEWAYS. We had multiple occasions where we found clamp marks on the sides of the ring. They won't accept that their jeweler(s) don't do even a mediocre job with repairs. I'm just thankful when they reordered my custom wedding band that it did not have to be touched by any of their jewelers. I highly recommend avoiding this location and this franchise as a whole.
We are still considering small claims court over the irreversible damages to the...
