What a great family run business. They treat you like your family. Good food at awesome prices. The staff, if you can call them that,are one there game. No waiting once your settled. You have a choice for cocktails at there beautiful marble bar area before you dine also. ( or water, juice is served too.) Great Italian atmosphere, with the colors and decorations. Cozy place for two or bring everyone for a yummy dinner for all . Joe does all the cooking. And it's the best in town. Stake dinner, yum,pizza, yum,pasta,meatballs, yum,garlic bread,yum, specialty salad, yum, the list goes on . I have had everything on menu. More than once. Joe know what he is doing in that kitchen with eyes closed I'm sure of it. Lol. If you haven't been there yet, it a must try. Really. Some will remember and some won't but .Some years back there was a Italian restaurant on Cunningham st in Rockford. The name was Maria's. Yup you heard me right. Was the best ever,ever. Well Joey is one of the kids. They were basically raised there. Cooking. Cleaning, customer service. Carry out. After years of Honoring there parents by staying open, the day came the them doors closed forever. Was a sad day .I filled my freezer with fresh made, so I could still have some. Been known Joey for years, and christine only a few but what a power couple. For all they do for the community. Hats off to the hard work they have been doing for years. With all that said. You can imagine my surprise and happiness when I found out he was opening Joe's. So many people are happy and always hungry for the food they serve there. Careful sometimes there can be a tiny wait but if you have had it ,you understand. After a great meal cooked by a great man you are even offered a free lemon shot, of a time soaked concoction. Has a name, never remember how to pronounce it . Everyone else seems to have no problem. Lol. I hope you take the time to stop in and just try anything. Your going to love it. Bartender's, waitresses, hostess are all on the same page when it comes to customer satisfaction. Very friendly and knowledgeable with their alcohol and wine's. Big selection . Joe's is a very clean establishment, corner to corner. Bathroom's included. Not a real big parking lot but can park on street or in extra parking lot across the street. The food is absolutely amazing. I was not impressed with the service. The waitress was fine, good even, however when we tried to make reservations we were told we had to have a party of 8 (we had 7). We waited for a table that seated 6 because we were told they wouldn't put two tables together. They also would not seat us until our entire party arrived.The hostess then told us that we were lucky we were able to get seating at all. We finished eating and the hostess came over and told us they needed the table for other guests. We hadn't been there an hour. When the check was brought to the table it included a 20% gratuity.
